It was the first day of winter break and It had been snowing all day. I was outside, sitting on the porch letting the snow fall on me. I love the winter, especially when it snows. It rarely snows. The only other time it was when I was born, or so my mom told me. The only other time it had snowed in my kingdom was my tenth birthday. Which is kind of weird because whenever it snows it's on my birthday. That's right, today is my 13th birthday. Well, not like my parents would remember.
My parents had finally let me go outside to play in the snow, I had to beg them to. Well.... I wasn't outside because I begged them to go, they locked me outside to FREEZE because I interrupted their negotiations for work. But lucky for them, the cold doesn't bother me, and also WHO WORKS AT 7 AM!! I didn't even know they were working that early in the morning! Still, I guess it was a happy accident. I have rarely gone outside, my parents said it was too dangerous and didn't let me.
We live in a dark alleyway in a ratty apartment, downstairs is where my parents -Alice and Drake- do their work. I got the attic as my bedroom but at least they gave me my own space, it is better than sleeping outside like a dog. (And trust me some people have to do that, especially in poor kingdoms like ours)
My parents never let me talk to the other girls and boys, so I always read in all the freetime I have. I love to read the history books about when witches, fairies, elfs, pixies, and other creatures used to roam our kingdoms, but one of the kings banned all the creatures long ago and trapped them in the creature forest, and elf and troll kingdom, that is why nobody goes to those places. It is said once you're in, you never get out.
I am homeschooled because my parents think I'm going to cause trouble at school, but why would I do that?
Our kingdom is the poorest out of all of the kingdoms. I live in the Bleu kingdom and someday, I hope to rule this kingdom and be the first queen to sit on the throne. Of course I would be good to my citizens and not be greedy, unlike what the kings are now.
It was getting dark out, so I was putting the finishing touches on the snowman. I finished quickly and walked up to the door. I josled the door knob and sure enough, my parents forgot to lock the door. Then, I quietly open the door, tiptoed up to my room, said good night to myself, jumped in bed, and drifted off to sleep.
