Little misfortune

the duo kept conversing at the counter looking back at the door every so often when the lady returned I bit pensive as she shook her head. "im sorry I couldn't find any books under that name but if you give me a few days I can definitely have them in."  the dark-haired counterpart nodded and the blonde spoke up "that would be just perfect songbird" the blonde had stated. Y/n mood instantly picked up as she walked back to her spot.

"well since I wasn't able to get your books" she typed away on her computer for a bit. "would you be interested in purchasing any other books or little trinkets?'  the blonde had smiled and nodded. "we would love to songbird" the couple looked around and started to pick things out muttering to each other every so often. as they looked around Y/n started to get back to reading not noticing their glances at her. finely getting back into her book she let out a content sigh only to be stopped by a voice.

"I think this will be all songbird" the blonde had stated holding a basket that held a couple trinkets. I grabbed the basket and sorted through the items and started scanning them, there was one that stood out that I found cute. It was a black cat book holder I spun it around admiring it. "I completely forgot that we had these in stock," Y/n said smiling. she heard a gruff muttering of someone and she looked up. "oh sorry im supposed to be scanning your stuff not playing with it."  she let out a giggle and scanned the item. she looks over to them. "okay so your total comes out to 9,50 ." the darker-haired friend got out a twenty and held it out to me.

y/n opened the cash register and got out a ten and a one and slid out two quarters. "okay paper or plastic and here's your change-" "keep it" the gruff one had said. "I could never-" "I said keep it it's fine," he said before turning away. "I think what shous trying to say is that you work hard and deserve it treat yourself and paper bag, please" y/n just nodded and put the items in the bag. After she finished she handed the bag to the blonde. "well if that's all I hope you guys have a wonderful night" they nodded and left.

After a few hours, it was closing time and Y/n made her way to the front door after locking up. Once she had made it to the door she started to fish through her purse for her pockets she found her keys and proceeded to lock the doors. Making sure the doors were secured locked by giving them a little pull. She smiled in satisfaction of the door not budging and turned on her heel to start walking. peacefully making sure she had all of her things she started walking. Having never been in a bad position in her neighborhood she popped on her headphones and hit shuffle on her playlist. Looking at her phone to look at the time she saw it was quite late.

She opens maps on her phone and saw there was a shortcut through the alleyway that would cut down on time to her apartment. She walked to the alleyway and started to walk inside hearing moans she quickly turned on her heels with a muttered "nope." Deciding that walking for a few more minutes was better than seeing something she continued walking on the original path. ten minutes she made it to the complex. she took the elevator and hoped of. for her small job she made quite a bit and ad 'spruced' up the apartment making it looks homey. closing the door behind her she looked around for her furry companions. spotting a puffy whitetail and a thin black one she smiled. "Chesire, pumpkin". the two dogs' tail started to happily sway and the dogs came bounding to her.

the white samoyed and black Doberman pounced on her licking her face. she sat up scratching behind their ears and stood up she poped her shoes off and walked and set her bag on the table. She made her way to the fridge she oped it and pulled out bacon eggs and sausage. "how does breakfast for dinner sound guys" she looked down at the dogs both barking with joy.  she nodded "breakfast it is." she pulled out her items and set them on the counter. satisfied with her options she turned on the stove getting to pans. she got out some butter and bread and waited for the stove to heat up before pacing the pan on it. seeing it was warm she set the pan on top and went to grab the other items to put them closer to her.

once they were all close to her she got out a butter knife and scooped up some butter placing it on the pan. letting it melt a bit before popping on some bread on top he smiled. she left the bread on the butter listening to it sizzle. once the sizzling died down she flipped the bread to make sure it was a golden brown, took another piece of butter, and flipped that side down. once it was completely golden she set it down on a plate and proceeded to repeat this process two more times. finished with the pan bread she made the bacon and eggs also a few sausages for the dogs and sat down on her couch turning her tv on. she set the plate of sausage on the floor and let the dogs eat and she watched the news.

As she got up to wash the dishes she heard a story on the news that intrigued her. not completely listening she started to wash the dishes she recognized the two voices from earlier to see them on the news. she started for a bit listening for a bit and found out they had been pro heroes. chuckling she finished the dishes walking over to her dogs "guess it's a small world isn't it pupers" sighing in content she went upstairs and took a shower and then made her way to the bed she saw her dogs get up on the bed with her and drifted of to sleep.

wow, we made it to chapter two I just wanted to say thank you to the people, who are taking the time to read my .. not so great book. so much thanks for all the love and support, also  pan bread I would recommend trying it its one of my comfort foods and is delicious so yah that's all. ok Luv yah guys mwah~ byyyyyyyee
