As i gazed upon his mass of flesh and twisted bone i was horrified but also a mixed feeling of betrayal and a slight bit relived at the same time. Knowing that i'm not crazy but just got one of my very few (if any) killed but it had to be done. their kind have plagued us since the dawn of time ruling from behind the scenes. But in my haze of self though i didn't notice the manager yelling at me to step away from what was left of my friend and to a fellow employee to call the police. Once i heard those words i snapped back to reality and made a break for the door knowing if i were to be seen by the police and they were a lizard man every human in that restaurant would be slaughtered and any video erased making it look like a wild animal attack that had managed to slice the camera wires. once i reached the doors the manager became more frantic and so i had to hurry hearing sirens coming down the road i make my way into my car and sighed in relief being so close to freedom but than to my surprise a state trooper knocked on my window but their was no police cruiser nearby just him in a parking lot filled with civilian cars he may have been parked around back but that wasn't the pressing matter. He is the one thing standing between me and freedom so i rolled down my window and showed him my I.D and as i did the manager came bursting out saying "OFFICER PLEASE COME QUICK THEIRS BEEN AN ACCIDENT". The state trooper looked down at me as i nervously smiled telling me to stay put and walked in beside her. As i predicted once he saw the ball he wasn't far behind changing into his true form and sliced at the woman's throat going clean through than running full speed at the other slaughtering the rest than moving onto the cameras and without a seconds delay i put my car into reverse and started speeding towards the exit cutting off a mini-van the mom barley paying attention screaming at her kids. and as i make my way further down the road i finally see sheriff's department and not a single other state trooper... but at least for now i was safe.
