"Let me know next time you do something stupid." Those were the words Tapu Koko had last said to Mew. Apparently he didn't like listening. It'd only taken her an hour to find out both Dialga and Palkia had sensed a disturbance. And when one feels a disturbance in time, and the other feels a disturbance in space, you know there was a rift opened between both time and space, and there was only one explanation. Mew had done something stupid and told no one. As was normal for him. After making Dialga and Palkia both swear that they would keep quiet until she sorted it out, as soon as she could, she went after Mew. She'd thought Mew would try hiding out better, but it was very easy to find him this time. As soon as Tapu Koko had gotten close enough to Mew, she spoke to him.

"Aren't you forgetting to let someone know when you go gallavanting off with another one of your ideas?" Mew whirled around when he heard Tapu Koko's telepathic voice. He sighed, with his actual body, then spoke through the same telepathy.

"I didn't want anyone getting involved. I was hoping this would stay between me," Mew said, his little body hovering just above a bush to watch a town of pokemon frolic about. It was daytime, so they'd both be easy to spot if they were in the open. The thick treeline that covered them in shadows was the most hidden they could be while being this close.

"You know nothing slips by Dialga and Palkia." Mew winced as he heard that. He should have known they'd both sense the portal he had opened, but through his own arrogance, he'd miscalculated. It wasn't the first time however, and Tapu Koko was ashamed to admit that it was fully expected. Even as the most senior legendary besides Arceus himself, Mew still acted childish.

"I just thought I'd run another experiment. Our jobs have been boring thus far, and I don't do much besides appear every few thousand years," He said solemnly, then turned to Tapu Koko. "I don't get a bigger job like you do." Tapu Koko could sympathize with Mew. She was aware that not having a role to play was boring. If Tapu Koko didn't watch over an entire island, she suspected she too would run the experiments Mew did. However, even sympathy couldn't squash her next sentence.

"Running an island requires discipline. Patience. Two things you have just demonstrated to lack." Mew turned away, and stared back at the town. Tapu Koko let Mew have his thoughts, before gesturing to the pokemon under the bush behind him. "And care to explain the human you brought?" To that, Mew sighed verbally again.

"I wanted to bring them. Just to see how they would interact in this world of pokemon. All the other realities have humans. Some of those are... Less pleasant. But in one like this-" Tapu Koko had to cut off Mew before he went on any longer.

"Do they remember who they are?" Mew fell silent almost immediately, and faced the Charmander, who was still sleeping. Probably under one of Mew's spells. Or perhaps none of the quiet, distant voices from the town was waking them up. Not like they could hear Tapu Koko and Mew talking.

"I removed their memories so they'd fit in easier."

"And do they have new ones to replace those memories?"

"You know I can't just GIVE them memories. I can only take them away. Even then, not even I have the power to convince them that they weren't a pokemon to begin with. They'll know, deep down they were a human once, but everything about their world is gone from their memory." Mew faced away when Tapu Koko didn't answer, bringing his gaze back to the peaceful town. Tapu Koko gazed at it as well, wondering in her head if Mew was making a mistake. On one hand, this was a human, not just another Pokemon. In fact, the human would know they were a pokemon, even if their current form didn't agree with it. On the other hand, the human could get into severe danger, and possibly die. Even in a place as peaceful as this, underground groups and bandits lurked in shadows. But, even despite all of that knowledge, Tapu Koko was just like Mew. She was curious. And that curiousity would be severely disappointed if she convinced Mew to go back. Either way, Tapu Koko didn't believe she could convince Mew against the idea. She had a habit of doing things even when none of the other legendaries agreed.

"I'd be lying if I said I wasn't curious to see how this ends." Mew turned up to look at Tapu Koko as she spoke. "But I also think it's worth mentioning that, like with anything else you get ideas with, this is YOUR responsibility. Not any of ours." Mew nodded.

"I know. I've given the human something unique that'll help them get situated, but other than that, they'll be a normal Charmander hybrid." A hybrid? Tapu Koko hadn't seen anything in the Charmander that suggested they were a hybrid. She turned back to look at it again, and nothing had changed. It's tail flame still glowed very faintly in the shadows the trees above the two cast. Nothing about the Charmander was different. Sure the orange scales that made up its skin were a slightly darker shade than the normal, it was just a Charmander. However, she wasn't going to question it.

"I need to think of a way to make it look natural. If a random pokemon shows up in this town with no memories, and away from any shoreline, what's stopping someone from just guessing that one of us left it here?"

"I can think of one way to make it look natural." Tapu Koko gave Mew a look that answered his question of what she meant, and Mew took the Charmander farther away from the town. Tapu Koko looked back at the town, just as an Unown appeared before her. It didn't have to say anything, for it was there to take an order, not deliver one to her. "Make sure Arceus doesn't hear about this. I'm afraid even they would disprove of this idea if we can't deliver results." The Unown nodded, and disappeared back into its strange realm, before Tapu Koko went after Mew, electricity now flowing into her body. She didn't like hurting someone who couldn't fight back, but it had to look natural, she convinced herself.
