"MOM!! My water broke I need you to drive me to the hospital!!" Tiffany yelled this to her mom over the phone, as she set down the cigarette she was smoking and called her boyfriend.
Soon at 5:45am on April 26th a little baby girl was born. Her name was Carmen and she was born with a cleft lip and palate. This happened because Carmen's mother did drugs, drank alcohol, and smoked while pregnant with her. 6 weeks later she had her first 3 surgeries. Soon it was her first birthday, and her parents Justin and Tiffany broke up a few months ago. Now Justin is dating a lady named Leslie. Tiffany threw a party without Justin knowing because she hated Leslie and didn't want her around Carmen. Not but a few months later Carmen's grandmother aka Gigi has to take Carmen into her care because Tiffany was caught selling, buying, and using drugs. 3 years later Tiffany got out of jail and the family moved to Tennessee because Carmen's grandfather aka Pop-pop needed to go there for work. And soon it was Carmen's first day of kindergarten. She walked into the classroom with a big smile and a Shopkins backpack. Carmen graduated kindergarten before she knew it and then she going to "big girl school." 7 year old Carmen knew her numbers and colors, she knew how to write her name and how to add and subtract, she knew that she was happy. Soon her Gigi was diagnosed with cancer and when Carmen found out she bursted into tears. Gigi got to watch Carmen graduate from 1st and watched her walk into her 2nd grade classroom with her best friend Kate. Carmen even had a little boyfriend at the time his name was Jackson H she thought he was so cute. Not to long later her mother Tiffany married a man named Zack. Zack seemed amazing but he continued to encourage drugs on Tiffany. It was time for a pep rally and after Gigi and Pop-pop took Carmen out for ice cream. But while driving "home" they passed the house and rushed Gigi into the hospital. Carmen was so confused and she has to go live with her great aunt for a while. Carmen went through her first month of 2nd grade switching care takers and living in fear of losing her grandmother. October 16 2016 Carmen and her current care taker got a phone call. Carmen's Mammy and Pop-pop had to explain that her Gigi had passed away. Carmen was told she'd go to live with her Father, Leslie, and her half sister Casey. The funeral came so fast and Carmen cried. She just cried and cried. The next day her things were packed up and shoved into boxes. Carmen gave her family hugs and gave the tightest one to her cousister (cousin + sister all in one and a built in bestie for life.) Carmen cried as Justin drove her to her new home. That night Carmen climbed to her bed and put on her Cinderella headphones and listened to piano because she was so used to a story and piano music played to her before bed. A week later she started back in school, a new one. She made some friends and even started "dating" again.
I mean at 8 years old she thought dating was hugging boys and hanging out with them. That year she dated 3 boys Blake, Chase, and her personal favorite.. Jacob. She finished the year with amazing grades and then she went to 3rd grade. It wasn't very eventful, she loved her teachers and still liked jacob. In 4th grade she had her first guy teacher and she had another surgery. They took shavings of her skull and packed it into a bone for her lip (gee thanks Tiffany.) Soon came 5th grade and that February there was a rumor of a virus. Not later they were told they'd be going to be out of school for 2weeks. So Carmen flew to her Mammy's house. That 2 weeks turned into online school and she ended up living with Mammy for 3 months. IT WAS CRAZY!! By now Carmen's father had married Leslie and then divorced her because she cheated on him but now there was a new girl. Her name was Nina and she was AMAZING. Nina became Carmen's mom and it was amazing. Nina taught Carmen for 6th grade and that year Carmen got in quiet a bit of trouble. She cheated, lied, and attempted to steal credit card information. Soon it was Carmen's first year of middle school. She entered 7th grade and for the first time in 2 years she saw the "love of her life" Jacob, (Yes from second grade.) Carmen went to her first football game and loved it.
And on October 15th 2021, she got her first real boyfriend. Jacob, the one from second grade. It was an amazing experience and lasted for a month and 6 days. But on November 23rd 2021 Jacob broke her heart. With the "we're better off as friends speech." Carmen survived but became desperate for any and every guy's attention. It was okay thought, Carmen got good grades and in May of 2022 Jacob promised her a relationship in high school. Carmen still holds on to that promise. Her summer before 8th grade was fun. It was full of ice skating, friends, shopping with out parents, NINA AND JUSTIN GETTING ENGAGED, and a lot more. Carmen also changed her name and sexuality. Her new name was Cam and she was a Pansexual. And soon she started 8th grade, she saw jacob but she became in love with a guy named Moss. It was an obsession and then she dated a guy name Elliot that never worked out, then dated a girl name Bailey, she now likes a guy named Grayson.
