One Direction started as solo artists on the X Factor in 2008 where Liam was the only one to audition that year, but Simon Cowell sent him home because he was too young. But that didn't stop him, he was determined, so he auditioned again in 2010 in the same year as Zayn, Louis, Niall and Harry.
When they all auditioned by themselves, they all got called to a room and within 10 minutes Simon decided to put all five of them in a group. That is where One Direction became a band. They won many rounds of the X Factor but the last round they had a feeling they wouldn't win. When they heard that they didn't win Zayn said "This won't be the last of One Direction" and it wasn't.
They created their first single 'What Makes You Beautiful', but the first song I heard was 'One Thing'. My mum and sister played me. The first album was called 'Up All Night' and that was their first tour.
Since then they have done three more albums 'Take Me Home', 'Midnight Memories' and 'Four'. Through the years they have gotten better and better and their bonds have became stronger then ever.
The second tour was the 'Take Me Home Tour' then the 'On The Road Again Tour' which is the one I went to. The sad thing is not too long ago at Hong Kong Zayn Malik sadly left The band. One Direction are still going to be together just without Zayn.
One Direction have announced that they are going to release a fifth album without Zayn. One Direction will never be the same but I will always love them. But life goes on.
