Fly Zone

*Eighteen*

I stood up watching the snow lightly fall on the ground, i wasn't sure what was wrong with me but i felt sad, almost as if i had lost something, but i wasn't sure what i had lost that was so important.

Maybe i just needed some sleep to help make me feel better, after all i didint get much last night, i lifted a hand up running it through my snow covered hair.

I needed to get back, hopefully they where done setting things up, plus i wondered what Nico had in store for everyone.

Clasping my hands behind my back i teleported over to Nico, he was inside the cabin up on the conference platform, i sat down in my usual chair looking at him and Ozara as they babbled back and forth.

Deciding to interject i spoke "So what have you come up with?"

Nico turned to me and smiled, "well what if we give everyone a little lift, playing catch with floating flames should spread a happy mood"

I rolled my eyes playfully "how about you just tell me instead of trying lame riddles"

He fake pouts "jeeze your no fun, anyway what if we create a flying zone where when someone is in it they can fly around, of course we can set limits on the hights speed ect... but i know the kids and teens will love having a game to, so we make floating fire, of course its gotta be the type that wont burn us alive, we can make it like who ever cathes the most will get a special prize or something."

I nodded my head liking the idea "hmm im sure everyone will like it, but i would need to set up the flying zone soon so it can be tested out first"

"Yes i agree"

"Ok ill go start on it see you in a bit" i stood up walking down the steps and out the front door, the day was passing by fast, i could tell it was already around five in the afternoon.

I quickly went to work, using a larg stick i started dragging it through the dirt walking in a circle, i tried to make it around half the size of a football field so i could make a safe zone around the flying one, finally i connected the lines together of course my circle wasnt perfect it was way to big for that to happen, i spread my hands out trying to think of a good way to do this, hmm i got it quietly i chanted

"Only those of a pure heart

can learn to fly and play the part"

Hmm that should do it, i knew everyone here had pure hearts, they could fly and play their part in the game, now i needed the protection around it, maybe i could use some kind of barrier that turns into like a jello when you touch it so it wont hurt you, haha i like that idea cuz you could also eat it!

So i put up a barrier and chanted again

"Let the barrier to to jello,

so everyone may be mellow"

i finished smiling at my results, i hated doing magic i hadn't done before because i always had to chant befor, if i haven't done it at least once then i have to say some sort of spell the first time, then usually i can do it automatically after that, its one of the reasons i was so good at teleporting, sadly some of the chants that popped into my head sounded incredibly stupid, but oh well.

Now all i need was a volunteer, hmm who would i make try this out i turned around looking for someone to help, i spotted Kai, he would do the trick.

"Kai come here please" i called out waving him over.

He smiled jogging over "whats up?"

"I need your help to test out a play thing for everyone"

"Ok what do i need to do" i pulled him right next to the barrier and pushed him in, he fell back with a suprised look.

He closed his eyes and waited for the impact that never came, became he was floating a few inches above the ground, i am so awesome i cant belive it worked haha yes!

"Yes ha it works" i stepped back a bit and ran forward jumping up into the air where i stayed floating, then suddenly i started turning upside down or a in a direction i wasnt to sure, so it turned out to be more of a zero gravity thing, but it still worked so i was happy.

"This is awesome Arden, how did you get this to work!" Kai asked me as he sorta swam through the air twords me.

"Im not sure but i like it, oh i need you to push me that way so i can see if the barriers work or not" he nodded then pushed my shoulders wich sent me sailing through the air making me close my eyes, i heard someone scream just as i face planted something squishy.

Opening my eyes i smiled, the barrier had turned to jello, but only on the parts that my body had landed, i took a small bite and swallowed, "It taste like cherry!" I laughed pushing myself away from the barrier, as soon as my body was gone the jello look disappeared, and i could see Sage staring wide eyes and open mouthed up at me.

Ha now i had to figure out how to get down, damn this might be a little tricky.

I heard Kai's voice about me "Uh Arden how do we get down"

Looking up i frowned "how did you get up there?"

He smiled "I have no idea!"

Grr i had to get down, maybe if you had to think happy thoughts to fly in peter pan we could think sad thoughts to drift down, ha thats just stupid!

I looked down at the ground i was only maybe ten feet up, but if i just fell i would proubly get a bruise, i waved my hand creating a large sum of water that streched across the whole flying zone so when people fell, they would land safely in water.

"Oh Kai what if i make it so when people say certain words it stops them from flying and they can land in the water"

A thoughtful look crossed his face "that seems good, but it has to be something the kids will remember"

Hmm a word kids would remember, oh duh "how about Ice cream"

"Ice cream is wo-" his words were cut off when he splashed into the water making me laugh.

"Oh that was so awesome!" I held my stomach as he climbed out of the water and pulled his wet but across the barrier.

I used my magic to float out of the barrier and land on my feet next to Kai, "thanks for the help it was fun" i flicked my wrist drying him off as i walked away to find Nico, he should be setting the fire up considering the sky was slightly darkening.

They had set up fairy lights at the tops of the trees that circled the field to give that extra light just incase, i found Nico building the large bonfire between my fly zone and the food tables wich were set up closer to the cabin, the left an open space to the left of the bonfire where i would place our mini stage if we needed it.

I turned back to Nico just as the fire flared to life, its red flames clawing twords the sky almost reaching the height of the trees.
