Another Day, Another Slay

(Reader POV)
I awoke to my alarm blaring, but the thing is, I don't have an alarm. I opened my eyes to see Shachi and Penguin standing by my bed, holding an alarm clock. I groaned and grabbed it, smashing it on the floor. "What do you two what?" I said glaring at them. They just giggled like little school girls and ran out of my room. I groaned, sometimes I wish I never joined this crew. At the same time, it wouldn't be the same if I never joined. I sat up and tossed the covers off of me. I grabbed my uniform and closed my door. Once I finished changing I could hear arguing, great. I opened the door and went into the 'mess Hall' as Law calls it. I see Shachi and penguin arguing with each other, though I don't know what's being said, because they keep yelling over each other. I look over at Ikkaku, who is just watching with a disappointed face. "What's up with those two?" I asked. "They've been fighting over who's better at cooking an egg" she sighed. "Seriously? they get into the most random fights." I shook my head. "Alright you two, calm down, you're going to wake the whole crew." Law walks in, the two stopped arguing "Aye Captain!" I chuckled and leaned on the wall. "Anyway, Shachi no offense, but you can't even boil water without somehow burning it, so please do not cook unsupervised" he walked passed them. While Shachi snapped his head at Penguin to most likely glare at him "oh c'mon, It happened once!" He groaned. "Yeah, well you still burned water, out of all things" I piped in. "Yep, also we'll be arriving at an island soon," Law said, making some coffee.
A groan was heard and Cora-san came waltzing in, "Why is it so hot in here" he was hunched over, dragging his feet. "Because someone keeps the thermostat at like 90 all the time." Ikkaku huffed and we all glared over at Law. "What? I get cold" he shrugged, "Yeah well guess what? YOU get to wear actual clothes, while the rest of us has to wear these things" Cora-san said tugging on his boiler suit. "You think how long we've had to wear these things we'd get used to it, but no" I added in. "Ughh, Since you guys like to complain ALL the time, I guess you guys can wear whatever you want around the sub. But when we have to go on islands, that do not require disguises, you have to wear them" he huffed, FINALLY caving in. All five of us ran out of the Mess Hall to go change, leaving Law alone. I closed my door and immediately took off that thing and put on some sweat pants. I looked in the mirror and flexed a little. 'Damn I'm handsome' I flaunted in my head.
I put on some amazing slippers (definitely have the urge of making them those slippers that have ears and when you walk the ears pop up.) and walked out of my room once again and waltzed back to the Mess Hall, actually looking like I just woke up. I walk in seeing Shachi and Penguin fighting again, over who gets the milk first for their cereal. I groan and walk over to them and pushed them out of the way and grabbed the milk myself. "Get a room you two" I groan and get a bowl, pouring myself some cereal. I hear huffs from both of them. I grabbed my bowl and sat down at the table, and started to eat. Ikkaku came back in and fixed her some cereal as well. Shachi and Penguin just sat there. "What's wrong with them now?" she asked, sitting next to me. "I told them to get a room after they fought over some milk." she snickered, looking over at the two, who were making their food now. I finished my cereal and put the bowl in the sink, I put some water in it. Law walked in with Bepo, "We are almost at the island. Go change." he said, receiving a groan from everyone in the room.
-SMALL TIME SKIP-
Once we surfaced, I looked at the island. "Captain. This island seems, pretty small, are you sure there is even anything on it?" I asked, looking over at Law. "Well, let's hope there is something. We are running low on food," he responded.
We docked and got off the sub. Cora-san sprinted off like he usually does when we dock at an island. I sighed and followed him, I'm usually the one that babysits him. Which is ironic since he's the oldest one on the crew. I quickly followed behind him. "Cora-san, you need to be careful, you don't know what lives here," I shouted out to him. He slowed and looked back at me, " yeah I guess so, but this seems like nothing is he-" his sentence got cut short as he was tackled to the ground. A woman with short, crazy red hair had him pinned down. She pulled out a gun from a leg holster on her thigh and pointed it at me. "who are you two, and what are you doing here?" she hissed. Glaring at me and Cora with her red eye, her other was covered by some bandages. "Woah Woah, hold on. Whatever you think we are going to do, we aren't going to do it." I said walking closer to her slowly. Her thin demon-like tail gripped Cora's arm, which was moving to try and grab her. "So you're not here to take me back to that God-forsaken place?" she looked back a Cora. "What place?" Cora asked, looking puzzled. "That's the only answer I need," She stood up and helped Cora back up. I noticed that she did in fact tower over me, she was even taller than Cora, maybe not a lot but she was still taller. "So what are you two doing here anyway?" she asked, putting away her gun. "well, our captain decided we needed to come here for some reason so-" I started before she started walking off. "Yeah I'm not dealing with pirates, have fu-" she didn't finish her sentence before a loud snap was heard. "Damnit, I forgot that was there." she hissed, kneeling. She stepped into a bear trap... "Cora-san you stay here, I'm going to fetch Law." I told cora and started running back to the sub.
Luckily Law was there when I came back. "Captain! We found something!" I yelled up at him, He got down from the sub and I started to lead the way back to Cora and that woman. Once we got there I saw cora trying to get the bear trap off her leg. Law huffed, and walked over to Cora and the red head. She never made in sounds of agony or pain. Noting the scars that littered her body, she was used to it. "Let's take her back to the sub so I can treat her wound, we don't want it getting infected. Cora-San could you please carry her." Law spoke, as he started walking back to the submarine. I followed him and Cora followed us. "I don't need no pirates help, I don't know your intentions." she growls, trying to get out of Coras hold. "Well we aren't going to take you back to Blood Ring Isles if that's what you were thinking." Law hummed
Once we made it back to the submarine Law had us take her to a room to get her leg checked. By that time the others came back and some were curious about the woman on the sub. Shachi and Penguin where in the room, as well as me. Everyone else went to change. "Why are you insisting on helping me. Aren't pirates, fierce and deadly." she hissed slightly when Law dabbed Peroxide on the wound. "well that's other pirates, not us. Well most of the time" I responded, She looked over at me and hummed. "How long has the bear trap outside? And what was the weather like?" Law asked "uhh, a long time. And the weather, rain, snow, sunny, cloudy, there was a hurricane one time I recall. Thought it took out the trap, apparently not." she said. Law nodded and pulled out a needle out of drawer. He cleaned off a spot with a wipe, he pulled the cap of the needle off and pierced her skin with it. He pulled it out and slapped a band aid on there. "There, now all I have to do is wrap it and you should be good." Law said. I stretched and walked out. It was getting too warm, so I decided I wanted to change.
After changing I walked back out of my room. I was walking down the thinking of what Law said when we were bringing that woman to the sub. What the hell is Blood Ring Isles? And why doesn't she want to go back. I walk into the Mess Hall and see Shachi and Penguin taking the woman's measurements. "What's going on know" I asked "She joining the crew" Law said, basically popping out of no where, making me jump. "WAIT WHAT?! WHEN DID I SAY THAT?!" She yelled, her tail went straight up. "Oh, Cora-san decided that for you, so take it up with him" Law responded "You guys don't even know my name, and you're deciding that I'm joining the crew?!" She huffed. I smirked "Well usually anything that Cora-san says, Majority of the time Captn' agrees to it" I say "Plus you built up quite a bit of reputation when you ran off from Blood Ring Isles, Kamari." Law added. She looked like she was thinking "Oh yeah, forgot they actually wanted me back" she shrugged. "What do you mean?" I asked. "I'm not telling a bunch of strangers my backstory. Read a newspaper once in a while jeez" She responded, sitting down in a chair obviously to small for her. "Wait.. How are you walking if you got caught in a bear tra-" "Fast healer" she interrupted me. "Can we stop with the whole interview, lemme relaxed a little jeez" she groaned. I sat next to her and sighed, "Well, you peaked my interest and I want to know more about you." I spoke, making her groan again. "fine, shoot your questions, I'll answer best I can."

"Mom was part demon while my Dad was a Vampire, Ironic I know" she groaned
"Why'd you run away?"
"Dad sucks, and I barely can take care of myself, not alone an entire country" She roller her eyes
"What do you mean by that?"

"All I'm saying is I have royal blood, not explaining further"

I rubbed my cheek where she had slapped me, "ow" I hiss, damn she is strong. "Awe do you need a kiss to make it feel better?" I heard Law tease. "SHUT UP!!" I turned away blushing deeply. (my deepest desire was fulfilled) I heard Kamari laughing like a maniac. "Aren't you easily embarrassed (y/n)" she snickered "Ooo I'm going to enjoy being on this crew" she grinned. I turned back around "Wait I noticed before you were taller than cora-san, how tall are you?" I asked, still curious. "10'2" she responded. Hmm.

(I'mma leave it here, idk what else to write for this chapter, Sorry if it felt more centered to Kamari, just wanted y'all to understand who she is a little bit better before the story, so I'm not just throwing in a character you know nothing about for the majority of the story until I cave in and talk about her.
