Vikram POV
I opened my eyes and I felt I was blinded for a little while because of the little light peeking at me from the window although the curtains were shut closed. May be it is pretty sunny today, I looked around and saw that I was in our bedroom.
When I looked at my side I saw Diya seated on the chair beside my bed holding my hand, she was resting her head on the bed and sleeping in the very uncomfortable position, ouch she is going to have a very painful back pain for a while.
Me: Diya ....
My voice sounded groggy but it woke up Diya, she looked around at her surroundings and then shined her dimpled smile, looking at me awake.
Diya: Oh my god Vikram, you are awake ? You slept through a day, you got all of us worried.
Before I spoke, Diya dialed our head of the guards and informed him that I woke up. By the time he came, she went into the washroom, brushed her teeth and came back. She had her hair in a bun and her skin glowed with the sunlight but her eyes looked weak and tired.
Was she really worried about me ? The thought that she cared for me made my heart sing and my mind dance with sweet unwanted thoughts.
HOB came into the room and nodded at her while he looked at me and gave a relieved smile
HOB: Boss you are okay, that's great to see you up
Me: Thanks Karan, hope everything was good in my absence
When I said that Diya and Karan exchanged a look, she nodded and he gave a sigh
Karan: Yes sir all good
Me: Karan you are a bad liar tell me what happened
He acted like he was getting a call and literally ran from there
Me: Why is Karan acting weird is everything okay? Did something happen ?
Diya: If something would have happened which is worth mentioning he would have told you. Now, you tell me how did you get hurt, because as far as I know you promised me that you would be okay and look at what happened
Me: Diya, see I am okay right ? Nothing happened, we thought there was someone following us, there was a potiential threat by someone, so I made the scene look like an accident and then I lit the car up with some emergency fuel and a lighter in the safety kit.
I planned to hide inside the forest, but they wanted to make sure that I was dead so they searching near by areas, I hid behind a huge rock which had a shallow path, when they left, I was about to come out when my leg slipped and I fell down the path. Did they find me through my watch ?
Diya: Yes they did
Diya : if they were close behind you, then how did u get so much time to plan all that
Me: Well in the beginning a truck came in thier path and it gave me time to hide inside a deserted road used for trekking, from what it looked like I thought they left but they got down their vehicle and started searching for me. They saw that the pathways were very narrow for any car to escape so they figured I could be hiding there. When they spotted my car, I acted like I was unconsious, they all came near me with their gun trying to make sense of what happened to me, I found that time to be apt and drove away hurting some of them while others tried to catch up. Them being out of the vehicles, and some of them hurt took a while for them to get to thier car, and catch up with me.
Diya: That was a close call
Me: Yes, so Diya can you tell me what happened when I was out?
Diya: Vikram do you know, Zyra just missed you. I will go and get her
