Chap. 5

I felt someone taking off my shirt and snapped my eyes open. I saw that it was Cato and relaxed.

"Sorry, you need to get ready. I was trying to get you dressed so you could sleep longer." He said.

I looked down to see pants and hiking boots on already. Cato was already dressed too.

"It's okay, just scared me a little, you know someone undressing you in bed."

"I really love you." He says continuing to get me dressed.

"I love you too."

"Well I think you're ready. I put you in underwear, a bra, a sweater, under shirt, shirt, long warm socks and your boots."

"You are so awesome. You know that right."

"Yeah, I know. And it's all for you. Well and a bit for Rose and Clove. I miss them."

I nod agreeing with him.

"Time to go!" Brutus says.

Me and Cato shared a quick but passionate kiss then went to the elevator to the arena.

"You are going to win this thing." Artemis says.

"Thanks." I say nervously.

"I'm routing for you." She says.

I nodded and hugged her.

I got on my platform and waited for it to go up.

"60 seconds!" Seneca Crane's voice booms.

I looked at Cato but he already had his game face on. I looked over at Glimmer and Marvel and they did too. Well than... look out, the bitch in my is coming out. I mean, I am from 2 after all.

I ran to the cornucopia with Glimmer and grabbed all the knives I could. I started stabbing the other kids and the blodd bath began. Soon Marvel and Cato grabbed their mastered weapons and started killing too. Glimmer got the bow so Fire girl couldn't have it. I saw an axe and grabbed it along with my knives. I was just about to hit Fire girl but she blocked it, shame.

When everyone cleared the field or was killed in it, we gathered up.

"That went well." I say.

"Yep, you're alive!" Marvel says. Cato unsheathed his sword and pointed it at him.

"She's still mine Marvel. Back off." He says angered.

"Sorry, but you know you were thinking the same thing." Marvel counters.

"Let's set up camp!" I say.

We were all setting up when someone walked out of the woods with their arms up.

"Wait! Don't kill me, I want to be allies." Peeta says.

"Why? Where's your girlfriend?" Glimmer asks.

"I can help you find her, please." He says.

"Fine, help us set up." Cato says. He looks over at me and winks. I guess he was thinking about the plan I had made up earlier.

"Okay." Peeta says.

"You okay Mandy?" Cato asks a little later, when everyone else was setting up.

"Yeah, I'm fine, you?" I ask.

"I'm perfect, not a scratch." He says.

"Same.."

When camp was set me, Cato, Marvel, Glimmer and Peeta got up and started Katniss hunting.
