Chapter Twenty - Two

"JACKSON!" Rose screamed as she attempted to tackle the man in a hug. He laughed as he embraced her tightly. "It's been four years!" He mumbled in her hair as she released her legs from around him. "You look healthier, I love it." He added and she smiled "because I let him go...I released his hold and took care of the trauma."

Flashback

"Rose" Anthony exhaled in disbelief as he approached the visitor. "I'm not planning on staying long..." She dragged off as she realized the wounds that laid upon his face. Unfortunately, none of it made her satisfied "Anthony, your face." She whispered and he looked away for a moment, "it's expected..." He trailed off and for a moment both of them were without words. "I didn't...I have such conflicted feelings I didn't want you here, I didn't want your hard work to go to waste, I never wanted to see you hurt out of your control but you didn't give me no choice." She began and he interjected "Rose--" she held up her high. "No, let me ask questions first."

She looked up at him from her fingers and finally asked her questions she wanted desperately to know. "I know I cheated, but did I deserve the beating I received?" He stared at her for a moment and shook his head. "No." He confessed and continued "it's not an excuse but I was angry, I really do love you, Rosette. It was a build up, I saw the looks, the body language, texts, I was very observant...when it was all confirmed though, I just...snapped." he tried to explain.

"I tried to leave Anthony." She began to cry and his face dropped. "I didn't want you to, I didn't want to leave. You were mine, mine..." He pointed to himself "and it's like one sight of him and you just dropped me...you said "fuck me" in a double meaning." He sigh. "Rose, you know I'm not abusive, I have never laid my hand on you prior to this situation, I've never even flinched at you." She sigh as she knew it was the truth. "I understand, you snapped...anyone would have but That's not a valid excuse." Anthony nodded "but, I still forgive you."

His eyes rose her to her teary one and she gave him a small smile. "This isn't us getting back together, this is me moving on." She watched as his brow furrowed and bottom lip pouted, a sign of him holding his emotions. "You're not in here forever, but please...whoever you get involved with next, treat them better. If you know you can't forgive just.....move on."

Rose got up and turned to leave "I'm sorry Rose." His voice echoed in the room that became vacant as visiting hours came to a close. "I am too...be safe, and once you are released, take care."

End of flashback

"You really do have a big heart Rose, I'm happy you never lost it." Jackson told her as they sat down in a cafe. "Are you going back into music." He asked and she shrugged, "the break gave me such an insight of a life I forgot about, I loved it." She bit into her sandwich and  asked an awaited question. "How's jae? How's you and jae?" Jackson smiled "we reconciled, trying to do a Got7 reunion surprise for the fan." Rose giggled "I'm happy to hear that, the bond between all of you are special." He nodded "but jaebeom, he misses you...to this day." Rose nodded and smiled softly. "I really do believe we are soulmates or were soulmates, who was just dealt a horrible deck."

Jackson shrugged "you can always reshuffle the deck and restart." Rose looked up to him. "Jackson, the trauma we both faced in this relationship, you can't just restart." He raised his eyebrow, "what about me?" She bit her lip and did a grim smile"I sound hypocritical, don't I?" He nodded and walked to the bathroom causing rose to throw her head back. Jackson came back "Oh hi, aren't you Rosette? I love your music."

Rose stared up at the male weirdly. "I'm Jackson Wang, from China...and this group called Got7 with six other members, one of them names jaebeom is really fond of you, can we set a date to meet him?" She caught on and nodded "sure, that would be nice." He smiled widely "great! Tomorrow night over dinner!"

"You're crazy, Jackson" Rose mumbled as she held her face in her hands. "Anything to make sure you're happy." She smiled softly and still mentally wondered why she was unable to fall inlove with this man.
