(Warning. Very cheesy. 🧀)

As an idol, Christmas was one of your favourite times of year. So many events that offered opportunities for groups to work together. As a new soloist, it meant that you could ask groups to work with you, sometimes even only one or two members. This Christmas, JYP was putting together a special concert for their groups. Their groups would break into smaller groups and pair with others. Meaning that you, as a soloist, could pick who you wanted to work with.
Your boyfriend, Chan, and his group were trying to figure out who they should collaborate with. They had seen that the fans would love for them to work with a newer band group, Xdinary Heroes. They all agreed and figured out who would be in the collaborative group, deciding on: Felix, Changbin, Seungmin and Hyunjin. A mix of dancers, rappers, and singers, they weren't sure how the dance would fit in, but it would be great if they made it work. The fans would be more than happy about them working together. This left Lee Know, Han, I.N, and your boyfriend Chan, to find a group.

You and Chan, as leaders and the representative of your groups (or just yourself in this case) sat next to each other in an important meeting. The topic of the meeting was the Christmas concert, and how it would work.
There was no particular order for the groups to come out, and there weren't many limits to what you could do. You could make new music, mix songs from both groups, choose a classic Christmas song, anything you wanted really. The only limit was that you had to include all three elements: singing, dancing, and rap. Which was good for Stray Kids who had at least one member with each role left to pick.
One group would introduce the concert, and then more and more would come out for a big conclusion at the end of the introduction, this group would then introduce each group and provide entertainment whilst waiting for the next. Each group would come out and perform, and at the very end, a concept similar to the introduction would be repeated.

The order for groups and in a lot of cases, the actual groups themselves were being decided. You and Chan had broken off into your own conversation, the topic of said conversation being the groups you wanted to work in. You were discussing who both of you would want to work with, Chan was debating working with a girl group or a boy group.
"What if we do it together? Or you and the rest of the boys who are left do it with me? "
"People are already talking about us... Wouldn't it be too obvious?"
"Yeah... but- I mean- why don't we just-"
"Okay everyone, deadline for deciding groups is on Wednesday. that gives you exactly a month to work with said group on a performance. So the sooner the better." Said one of the managers. People started standing up all around the room and getting ready to leave. Another manager walked over to you and Chan.
"Y/n, Chan. A word please." You and Chan looked at each other and shrugged turning to face the man. "So, I've heard neither of you have decided on a group yet?" You and Chan both nodded, Chan explained that four out of his eight had began to work with some members from the new band and that he was just thinking about what to do with the rest. "Well, if you two have nothing else in mind and are okay with it, seeming that you two have pretty good chemistry," The manager winked and elbowed Chan jokingly, they both let out a soft chuckle. "We were wondering if you two would like to host the event?" You raised your eyebrows in surprise and looked at Chan's expression. You two had been close for a while but had never said anything about your relationship, the fans had seen you two together and had started to speculate but neither of you had confirmed nor denied anything. You were sure you wanted to tell the fans eventually, but Chan was still on the fence.
"I'm not sure, I mean, the fans already think something is happening between the two of us, won't this just confirm it?" Chan asked politely.
"That's another thing. If you two are ready of course, we were also wondering when you are thinking about telling the fans? We were thinking that this would be the perfect time to do so. It'd be easier to handle the whole situation, plus it's great advertising you know?" The man smiled.
Whilst you were the one who wanted to tell the fans soon, doing so at the event felt wrong, you didn't want to take the attention away from any of the performances. Plus, wouldn't the fans think the same? A lot of fans weren't happy about the shipping and you both got a lot of hate for even just being next to each other, this would just make it 10x worse. Wouldn't it?
