Ok, so I haven't updated since I have a concussion and could only use the computer for like an hour a day. Luckily, this chapter was already written out so it wasn't that hard to take care of. I'm not sure when the next chapter will be up since my rugby schedule is getting a little crazy. We now have practice 2/3 times a week with a sunday game, along with school. I guess you could say that my schedule got a little bit crazier but I have 4 study halls in my schedule so I'll try and write some then (if I don't have homework). Anyway, enjoy and tell me what you think <3

Chapter 33:

Brianna’s POV:

You know how in movies there tends to be a “cat fight”? Well this isn’t one of those moments because neither of us are cats. We’re both like lions but I’m angrier…and take like cake. About 20 seconds after what I said sunk in, she lunged and tried to go for my throat. I stumbled away while sidestepping her but once I did, I quickly pulled off my heels and put my hair up in a messy, curly bun. She was definitely faster than Charlie because once my second heel hit the ground; she threw a punch and hit me in the jaw. That hit definitely got my blood pumping. I turned and hit her in the center of her face but not with enough force to break her nose. However, the force behind the punch made her fall over onto her ass. She screeched and lunged for me again but I just wanted to go home, so I put an end to it. I swung my right leg up and kicked her in the ribs. Hopefully, I put enough force behind the kick to bruise a few ribs.

Once her body hit the ground, the manager and two other males came to the balcony. “Hi. I’m David Johnson. I’m the manager of this restaurant and seeing as you have a few pieces of cake in your hair and one of my employees is on the ground gasping for air, something happened here and I’m assuming that Maya started it. So can we please sit down and discuss what happened?” I nodded and took my seat next to Nathan. David took the seat across from me and then turned to address the two men that came with him. “Jack! Dom! Please help Maya get cleaned up and make sure that she’s in my office before I get there.  We have to discuss someone’s future here.” The way he said that sent bad chills down my spine. He said it with such hatred that it made me shiver.

David turned back to our table with a soft smile, which stunned us all. He goes from looking murderous to looking soft and cuddly. “So, will you tell me what happened?” I retold the whole incident and by the end, David was smiling. Why is he smiling? I just fought and knocked the wind outta one of his employees. “I know this may sound strange but why are you smiling.” I waited for an answer and as I waited, Nathan and I shared his cake. “Sorry for smiling but this isn’t the first time Maya has argued with a customer. However, this is the first time a customer has physically fought an employee. I’m not happy to see it happen but this gives me a better reason to fire her. Ever since she became a waitress, I’ve been losing customers, which means I’m losing money and may lose my business. But at least I can get my old clients back along with some new ones. Since tonight didn’t go smoothly, your whole meal is free. I’m so sorry for the problem. Now, I have some business to take care of.” With that, David got up and headed back inside. I was stunned to silence because we ate at least $500 worth of food and he wants us not to pay? That’s not happening.

“Bri!” Shaken outta my reverie, I focused on Nathan. “Sorry. I was just thinking.” He entwined our fingers before he focused on the cake. For some strange reason, I had a feeling that tonight wasn’t supposed to go like this. I pushed the feeling aside and tried to enjoy the rest of the night.

Once we were done eating, we got ready to leave but not before Becca and I placed $1,000 in an envelope. Don’t ask why Becca carries around envelopes because even I don’t know. We write a simple note to David that read:
