Archie's Story {Slow Updates}

1) The Beginning

It was any normal old day for Archie, going to the daycare and playing around, but one person was always on her mind when she went there, and honestly there was good reason.

Moon seemed to be exactly like her mother in so many ways that it was staggering to see. He was always caring for every single one of the children that went to the daycare, and he seemed to truly care about all of them, which is more than so many of the actual parents could say.

Archie liked Sun too, she even got to play with him a few times, but her real fixation was on Moon. She loved to watch him care for other kids, and when she got her turn she always felt just as happy and loved as she did with her own mother.

And it as for that reason that, after a couple months of going at the ripe old age of five, she was drawing a little doodle of Moon putting kids to bed. Moon came over to see what she was doing.

"What are you working on, starlight?" Instead of taking the energy to talk to respond, she simply held up her now-finished drawing. Moon gasped and hugged her.

The little children's drawing was by no means a top-tier drawing, but it was one of Moon putting kids to sleep. He adored it, seeing as to how the kids tended to pay less attention to him.

Archie giggled into the hug, and she was being downright adorable.

Moon thought he would die from the cuteness. "Now I wonder where we should put this?"

Archie's eyes lit up. "Weally?"

Moon chuckled fondly as he picked her up. "Of course, little firefly." He began walking over to the art wall that kids respected as the highest art honor.

"The wall!" she said.

"Why yes, it is the wall, now isn't it?"

"I get the wall!"

Moon chuckled. "That you do" He lined up the paper and the pin "Think that you can push it in for me?"

Archie reached over to push the pin into the cork board.

"Big push!" She managed to push it in and Moon clapped for her, still keeping her in his arms. Archie felt very proud of herself, and very happy that her mom was here.

"Thank you momma!" She hugged him close. Moon was speechless. He hadn't ever been called mom before, dad once or twice, with either really little, or really tired kids. Though Sun seemed to get called dad a lot more often. He was damn near tears as he hugged her back.
