That Moment Where Nothing Makes Sense

"Sam! Sam, are you inside?"

I looked at Vidhyuth in horror, and he mouthed 'Oops' looking totally adorable as he did it. Oh, god, oh god, MOM.

"Y-y-y-yeah mom, I am here." I stuttered, already starting on a panic attack. And it didn't help when Vidhyuth peppered light kisses on the corner of my jaw, making me feel all kinds of weird.

"Honey, I got you RICE."

"YES! I will be right with you!" I am such a rice girl. I eat, breathe and live for rice. And masala. And chocolate. And- oh god, he was disrupting my thought processes.

"And oh yeah, your guy disappeared. I am glad he took my advice and scrammed."

"Oh, yeah?" I called weakly as Vidhyuth shook with silent laughter, his lips teasing my cheek now.

"I know you love him and what not, but honey, put him on probation."

Yeah, like that is all going on effectively.

"Totally Mom. He is in probation as we are talking." I said, glaring at him as he winked at me and stole a quick kiss.

"Great. Okay. So, I have your food ready here. I am keeping it here for you. I will be back, okay?"

"Okay bye!" I said in relief and remained tensed and frozen till I heard my door shut close.

"ARE YOU INSANE?" I hissed at him, my eyes wide.

"Ah, Sameera, I wont be me if I don't take advantage now, will I?" He asked, laughing as he opened the door and peeked outside. "Ok, its clear now."

"And what are we going to say when Mom comes back and you are here again?" I asked, folding my arms in severity.

"Simple. I went to the garden to attend a call and came back inside." He said easily, patting my head patronizingly.

"You're impossible." I grumbled as I sat down to eat my food.

He looked down at me with a beautiful smile on his face, his expression tender and loving. "And you're lovely. Its all obvious facts."

I gave him a flat look, eagerly eating my food. It was like finding my life purpose again when the first mouthful entered my mouth. I let out a huge groan of satisfaction.

"MOM YOUR FOOD IS INDISPUTABLE."

'THANKS HONEY." She yelled back from downstairs.

I looked back at Vidhyuth, whose heated gaze was trailing over me. Self consciously, I pulled my blanket on top of me and looked at him defensively. "What are you looking at?"

He looked at me with an impassive expression on his face, which hid deep humor underneath. "At a great figure of course. Why?"

My mouth fell open at his bluntness. "EXCUSE me?"

"Don't blame me, Sameera, you dress like that, my eyes will definitely" he knelt down, placing his arms on either side of my legs as he came face to face with me. "wander."

"You're awfully daring today, which is not nice."

"Or its too nice for your failing control." He said, nuzzling his lips against my cheek again.

I looked at him grouchily as I spooned another mouthful, refusing to fall into this trap (because yes, his traps had a pattern, and yes, I am figuring it out little by little). We were staring at each other like those anti climatic cowboy movies where the two people stand in opposite sides (one of them always looks hot) and they look at each other long and hard before they blow their brains  out.
