AUTHOR'S POV

"Are you happy, Maan?" she asked.

"Of course Yami, I am very happy" he gave her a confused smile.

"Are you all happy?" she asked everyone leaving his shoulders.

They looked at each other in confusion.

"Of course we are" they replied.

"Oh, why not? You all must be very happy. After all, playing with my life must be really fun" she let out a laugh that shocked everybody to the core. Most shocked was Abhimanyu.

"Yami..." he tried touching her.

"Not now Mr. Abhimanyu Dutta. Let me speak today. After all, it's my 22nd birthday. Oops! Sorry 27th" she moved away and showed her palm to stop him.

All of them gulped sensing the hurt in her voice. It's out. Their secret was out.

"Umm... let's start with my best friend, Aastha" she smiled and moved towards her.

Aastha gulped seeing Yami approach her.

"Aastha, my best friend, and Laksh, may I know what's the procedure to change your names? I guess it's pretty long right?" she curiously asked them.

"Yami..." both of them tried to justify themselves but Yami didn't let them complete.

"Disha, you were my best friend" Yami choked on her tears, and seeing her everyone else's eyes also started welling up.

"I am sorry, Advi" Disha cried and Karan just looked at her ashamed.

"Let's talk to my neighbors, now" she ignored Disha and moved toward her neighbors wiping her tears with a smile.

They looked at her with tears.

"You were childless, right? Then whose sons are Abhimanyu and Veer?" she asked them.

They looked at the floor in shame.

"It was so much fun fooling me right?" she laughed.

They didn't dare to look at her and hence their eyes never left the floor.

"Now, everyone! Let's go to my parents. Thank you so much for at least keeping one original character in this drama. I am so grateful" she thanked everyone but nobody looked at her. Nobody had the courage to.

Her mother pleaded with her teary eyes to understand them but in vain.

"Your name is Yami Verma.

You went into a minor accident while returning from college and just forgot some incidents from your life.

You were in your last year of college during the accident.

You are 21.

You always wanted to be a patissier.

Your migraine is normal."

She repeated all the lies her parents feed her.

Her voice held so much disgust and hurt.

"Advaita" her father came forward to hug her but she moved back.

"Who Advaita? I am Yami right?" she laughed humourlessly.

Everyone was looking at her in remorse and they can clearly see the pain behind the laugh.

"Veer, Ruhi, Virat, and Piya, I must say you all also played really well" she clapped her hands while praising them.
