Sorry for the late chapter:(
In the breakfast room, Diana was joined by Timotheé who walked in limping with a walking stick. She thought he must've had a terrible night. To make her even happier Drystan walked in after him.
While sitting down the prince spoke.
"I was wondering if you would like to come with me for a walk I'd show you around."
Before she could reply anything the already familiar icy voice spoke before her. "She's still ill and not allowed outside." Drystan was angry at why he had said anything when he wanted Diana to answer, but the girl only showed confusion. She stood up from the table and walked to her room, for she couldn't find any pleasure in talking to either of them. Someone had brought her violin to her room. She knew the prince had bought it for her but she couldn't care less, she had to entertain herself somehow. While playing a piece that was dear to her, she remembered an old memory from her childhood.
"Play for me Diana, pleeeeaaaase!" Said a child's voice. "Which one would you like me to play?" She asked with curiosity in her voice. "Our song!" Ben shouted full of excitement. "Okay, okay!" She chuckled at his behaviour.
Diana started playing a song. Their song. The Melody was stuck in Diana's head and made her sad when she thought about the times she had with Ben.
Drystan knocked on her door and slowly opened it.
"I didn't permit you to come in," Diana told him in a tight voice,
"What if I were naked and you'd see me?" She continued.
"Would that matter we will be married soon anyway." Drystan spoke with self-confidence.
"Why are you so sure of that?"
"Because I know your brother will lose the battle, he's never been in one, has no experience. It's most likely he won't make it, don't you think?"
"I think he has an equal chance as everybody else."
She defended her brother.
"We'll see about that.""Did you only come to tell me that you think my brother will fall in battle or something useful aswell?" She said with a bit of sarcasm in her voice which pissed Drystan off.
"I am higher in rank than you so watch how you talk to me!"
He was starting to get furious.
But he knew he had to win Diana so he pushed those feelings aside and told her why he came."I've come to tell you king Kurtis has given me permission to take you out."
"Out where?"
"Just out for a walk."
Diana doubted that was all he wanted from her.
"And have you thought about whether I wanted to go with you, or did you only think about the fact, that you wanted me to go with you?"
"I don't see any reason why you wouldn't like to come with me."
Diana was starting to get annoyed with his attitude.
"I can say plenty."
"Diana I know you."
She was confused by the statement.
"Why, would you? A couple of days isn't enough for anybody."
She exclaimed.
"I know you went for a picnic in the woods, I know you used to play hide and seek, I know you loved music since you heard your mother playing the piano, I know you love rainy days and storms because they calm you. I know you still wear the necklace I gave you."
Drystan took a deep breath waiting for her reaction.
Diana was frozen. Her figure was stiff and still.
"Ben?"
