"Em, you're gonna be late", Sam yells from down stairs.
I jump out of bed and run to the bathroom. I quickly brush my teeth and put my clothes on.
"Are you ready?, Sam says from the doorway.
"Yea, yea, why didn't you wake me up?" I say while pulling up my pants.
"It was Mali's turn, but she forgot".
"Oh, well I'm ready now, so- let's go".
"Okay, okay, why are you in such a hurry?".
"I don't wanna miss Nick's first big game". I yell while running down the stairs to the kitchen.
"Em btw, your mom called this morning". Sam says after entering the kitchen.
"What did she want this time?".
"You home, Sandra is gonna visit them this evening".
"And she wants to see me", I say with an annoyed tone. The 5 '9 guy nods as a response.
"But I don't wanna see her", I say whining like a kid.
"Sorry girl, but you haven't seen her in 4 years, it's time", Sam answers like he's talking to a child.
"Yea, but I like it this way".
"Well you have to go, a-nd if we don't live now we are gonna be late". He says while throwing a jacket at me.
"Well let's go then". I reply while jumping over our kitchen aisle. We run to the grey, maybe 20 years old car and get in.
We drive to the school and run so we won't be late from the game. We get to the court and sit next to Mali.
"I thought you guys were gonna be late", She says while we try to sit down.
"To be honest, so did I, but here we are", Sam says laughing.
"Hey, bish", I say, elbowing his stomach.
"Auh-", he screams and puts his hands over the spot.
"Well we are here n-". I stop talking when a loud bam comes from the court.
People start screaming and I'm trying to find out why. A 17 year old guy is lying on the ground. Then we hear Nick. They are running towards him crying his eyes out. Spectators start running towards the court. Meds try to take crying Nick away from their so-called "friend".
We run to our friend and see a body coverd in blood. None of us know the guy. But why did it hit Nick so bad if they didn't know him. We try to pry our friend of dead dude, but no. For some reason he won't let go of the "dead" body. After about 20 minutes the body that has been lying on the ground is taken away. So is half of Nick soul, we just don't know it yet.
