Ari woke up to the sound of Jam gamer raging in the living room. Sounds like she's playing sonic or something.
She rubbed her eyes and pulled the covers up to her nose. She couldn't remember what day it was, or the time. Pretty sure she's off today, though. She leaned over and grabbed her phone. 1 pm. Thursday.
Was something happening today?
She scrunched her face, trying to remember. Tomorrow... is a movie with Zach? That sounds right. Yeah. Today, nothing. Hopefully.
Unlocking her phone, she was greeted by multiple notifications from like 20 different apps. Discord, twitch, YouTube, even some Twitter @'s. She scrolled through them, skimming the words trying to understand what was going on. Then she read the notif from YouTube. It was a new video from oney.

Oh. That's what's going on. Reading through the rest of the notifications made more sense now. Everyone was replying to Ari, talking about the new episode. She had gained nearly 2000 new subscribers on twitch and YouTube, as well. Opening Twitter, some people had already made a few fan arts for the episode.
Internally, Ari was yiiking out. They must've posted the video early this morning, or something. It had nearly 200,000 views at the moment. FF7 was a highly anticipated series, to be fair. Chris wouldn't stop teasing everyone on Twitter about it. She continued to look through all her apps and reading all the comments people were leaving. A lot of them were asking for more episodes. Suddenly, she remembered what happened last night.
She paused, and frowned. Chris didn't say... did he?
She pulled up her texts and noticed she had a few new messages from Zach.

Ari's leg started bouncing. She decided to reread Chris's texts before answering Zach. She couldn't really focus on anything else.
She went through them, making sure to read everything perfectly. Even trying to get the tone and annunciation just right. Making sure she didn't misunderstand anything.

Did he really mean that? Was he drunk or something? He hasn't texted since then, and she didn't really feel like asking him about it. Maybe next time she sees him, she'll ask. But that might be kind of awkward.
Ari went back to Zach.

She plopped her head back into her pillow. Man. She heard the sound of sonic rings jingling from the other room. "FUCK" Jam yelled.
Ari rolled her eyes, and decided to get up. She threw on a big hoodie and some sweatpants, and went out to the kitchen for a drink.
"Are you winning?" She asked Jam as she walked by.
"I'm the number one sonic hater" Jam answered.
"I watched the new episode. You were actually pretty funny for once."
Ari shot Jam a 'I'll stab you' look as she poured a cup of sweet tea. "Thanks I guess. I think they wanna do a few more episodes..." she trailed off. She imagined sitting between Zach and Chris again. Maybe Chris was just feeling super stressed and just needed to vent or something. Maybe. Or Adam got him high. Either way, Ari couldn't really believe him. He's never acted like he was interested in her. He just acted like a normal guy. They texted pretty often, especially while she was editing full time for him, but other than that, not much else. They occasionally send each other funny drawings and memes. Ari rubbed the back of her neck, thinking hard.
"You okay?" Jam asked. Ari turned to face her.
Jam was leaning up from the couch to get a better look at Ari, her face slightly concerned. Ari shook her head. "I'm fine, yeah. Still a little tired."
Jam raised a brow inquisitively. "You sure?"
"Mhm." Ari took a sip of her tea. She thought it was a sip, but it was more like a chug.
"Everything going alright with Zach?" Jam said. "Have you kissed yet?"
Ari sighed, before answering sheepishly. "We kissed last week, yeah."
Jam made a 😏 face. Ari did a 🖕as a reply.
Ari went over and sat down next to her friend. Jam leaned back and resumed playing her game.
"Isn't all of this a dream come true? Dating your favorite funny man, making videos with Oney, and everyone online loves you... well actually, some people were complaining on Twitter, but who cares."Jam said as she games away. Ari didn't answer right away.
Yeah, everything is great, but also very confusing, she thought.
"Confusing?" Jam said.
Ari turned to her. "Did i say that out loud?"
Jam nodded. "You becoming gay suddenly?"
Ari pulled a blanket out from under Jam and wrapped herself in it. She wasn't really sure what to say. Before she could think of anything, her phone buzzed. She pulled it up to read it, Jam also leaning over to see as well.
Tomar is out of the hospital today. the guys wanna record some more final fantasy with him today. You down?
"Ooh do it! You could become a regular. Also I'm glad Tomar is alive. People online just found out about that today." Jam laughed.
Ari's leg was bouncing again. The thought of seeing Chris and Zach at the same time...
She took a deep breath, and answered Zach.
yeah we can do that :) I'll be over there later then
