Ever feel like your alone. That it's just you and you have to deal with every problem yourself? That's the way I always felt. Not anymore tho. After a long and bumpy road I finally have all I ever dreamed of and more and I wouldn't change a thing.
"Wake up Anna"
Oh god, why can't people let me lie in.
"Now before I get a basin of water" my mother screams again.
"ok ok I'm up. Don't get your panty's in a twist" I really am not a morning person.
So I make my way to the bathroom and have a quick shower. I can't be bothered getting ready just now so I throw my hair up in a bun and throw on leggings, a blue vest top and my converse.
I make my way down stairs for something to eat. As I reach the bottom all I hear is,
"happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Annaleigh, happy birthday to you"
My mum Kate, my big brother Adam and my little brother PJ are all standing around a stack of pancakes with candles in it. Me being the big baby I am runs over and blows the candles out and make my wish. I never believed that these wishes actually came true but a girl can try.
"thank you guys" I say giving my family a big hug.
"Annie open your pwesent." PJ screams from across the table.
"ok little man" I start to unwrap this little box in front of me. When I open it I'm lost for words. It's a beautiful pendent with a diamond set in the silver. " it's beautiful, thank you so much" I actually cry.
"well it's not everyday your baby girl turns 21. I just wish your father was here to see you. "
"me too but we have to make the most of it" (try not to cry) I keep chanting in my head.
I sit down and tuck into my pancake. Oh my god they are amazing. I love pancakes. " so is everything sorted for tonight?" I hope it is I really don't want to do anything.
"yes darling all you need to do is show up on time" she gives me a stern look. I'm not one for time keeping.
" oh I meant to ask you sis is it cool if I bring a few friends?" Adams asking me what's going on he never asks.
"yeah that's cool the more the merrier" I think I like this nice side of my brother. He's a few years older than me but still acts 16 but he's my big bro I wouldn't have him any other way.
"beep,beep"
Ohh crap. I thought they weren't coming for another hour.
"you running late again Anna?" my mother smiles.
"eh, yeah. Ehm I'll see you's tonight ok? 9 o'clock mama?" I shout while getting my cardigan out of the cupboard.
"no anna 8 o'clock" she screams.
I just grap my car keys and my phone and put them in my bag with my purse and run out the door. That's the instant I see the two best people in my life James and Michelle. They are my two best friends and I wouldn't change them. After my daddy die they helped me so much.
"so are we ready to go?" James asks.
"yeah but we are taking my car" I love driving.
"to the mall" Shelley shouts in a fake American accent. I have to love my crazy friends.
