Every time, I get a friend we say we'll always be best friends, but I know the truth, and that truth is: They find someone better to hang out with. So I to another friend too, just to restart the cycle. It went on like this until sixth grade. That's where I met Gisselle. She never moved on, so I didn't either. We're still friends, while we have other friends- still making time for each other. Even right now my 'brother,' Mark, and my 'sister,' Izzy, are moving- moved- on. I have no one to hang out with in my class, but I have Gisselle to talk to at lunch. But now, she is slipping away too. Slowly, slower than everyone else did. I know I'll be all alone one day. I can face the facts. But I can't deal with it. I keep making friends, and they keep going away. I'm thinking, next year, maybe I should just keep to myself- no more friends. At all. But instead, I'll just wait- wait for them all to forget me, altogether, and then I'll be alone. Forever.
