One day, thousands of years ago, Firmamten, the God of the skies, happened to be switching around the sun and the moon and looking over Earth. Firmamten's medium, blonde hair flowing majestically and his crystal blue eyes sparkled as the sun rays beamed on him. "Hey! Be more delicate!" The sun yells which causes Firmamten to sigh. He stayed waiting patiently for his brother, Trieval to arrive. Trieval, who was exiled from the planet for all of eternity due to his trickster tendencies, wished to grant the populace what Firmamten desired. A look into space. Space, something the human eye could not fathom from ground level on Earth. Firmamten loved all the beautiful and extraordinary things located on earth. Humans as they experience love, hatred, jealousy, curiosity. Animals as they care for their pack, care for humans, care for themselves. Plants as they bloom in the rain and sun and bloom into something extraordinarily beautiful to glimpse at. Water as it flows downstream and provides for all the living organisms. Yet Firmamten still thought he could add more to the earth-like experience. "Cut the sky." Trieval had commanded and commented many times. Trieval's words fill his mind constantly. Firmamten, overlooking his brother, ignored what Trieval had to say. Trievel had only wanted to cut the sky for one reason and one reason alone, to be able to walk the earth again. Trieval spoke in soft, pleading manners to try to deceive Firmamten into getting what he wanted, but Firmamten wasn't that dull. Firmamten knew he would not allow cutting the earth, for the last time Trieval existed on earth many had suffered.
During the year 1246, Firmamten and Trieval had roamed the earth. Firmamten had built a secluded home in the depths of the mountain, where he could enjoy nature and look over humankind. While Trieval had been starting to build an army, an army of people who would try to overcome Fimamten's power. Many individuals followed Trieval into a war against Firmamten. Many passed. Thousands. Firmamten never forgave himself for killing off so many humans and never forgave Trieval for leading them into a suicidal mission. Trieval, unbothered by the fact many were dead, still hated that Firmamten had more power than him and Trieval believed if he could gain everyone's trust on earth, he could overturn Firmamten. He could take over the earth and turn humankind into his personal slaves for all of eternity. This has been Trieval's plan from the beginning.
A few years had passed and Firmamten's wish had not yet come true. He could not think of a brilliant way to give humankind a look into space, without cutting into the Earth. Nevertheless, Firmamten was getting ready for his journey to another universe. This means he'd have to leave Trieval in charge of earth. His trickster brother, who had been banished, is now to look out for a world he does not care about. Not only did Firmamten not want to not give his brother satisfaction of destroying the earth but Firmamten wanted to show mankind how beautiful the universe could be. Firmamten had left to go away. As Firmamten was gone, Trieval, who had been hogging a weapon since he'd been banished, held the god-like sword in his hand. Trieval thought if it was worth it. Worth giving into the habits his brother had thought of him. Trieval decided to remain still till his brother returned. Then Firmamten, returning to the milky-way galaxy thought to finally give in. Trieval handed over the sword to Firmamten. "Cut the sky." Trieval had commanded, as he did many years ago. Trieval knowing that if he was not the one to do it, then he would not be the one punished. Firmamten, contemplating on his next decisions, held the sword. "I cannot. I cannot damage the sky." Firmamten shakes his head, still holding a firm grip on the sword. Trieval, now angered, tried to take the sword away from Firmamten and with the swift move of a second. The sky was cut, not deep, but enough for mankind to look into space. To see two giants fighting in the sky. Firmamten attempted to fix the sky, but everytime he attempted the sun's rays beamed onto the cut, searing it back open. Luckily the cut can hold for almost an entire year. The only time you can ever see the two fighting is when the time the cut rips due to the sun's beams.
