Today has been tough, yesterday my boyfriends (Pierre) sister, who was a great friend to me.. passed away. Maelle, she supported me through so much and would always be the first person to ask if i was okay.
We went to the hospital this morning with his other siblings and Maelles children to say an informal goodbye before the funeral.
Pierre has taken this hard, and I don't blame him. He lost his other half. Twins have such a strong bond and I used to envy their relationship, my brothers and I don't share that same bond.
Tonight Maelles kids went with Florence, their younger sister, and her wife Rachel for the night. It's a complicated and weird situation we're in at the moment. They really should be put in their fathers (Remi) care.. if he was a better person, but legally they can't.
After Maelle filed a domestic violence report against him a few years ago he only gets supervised visits. These poor kids don't have either of their parents anymore.
Pierre and I want to take them in, we would right now if we could but i'm 39 weeks pregnant tomorrow with our first baby.
The stress and anxiety we're already under is already super high.

This morning we went over to Florence's house to check on Maelles kids and sort some things out. Rachel and I made a big breakfast for everyone, we received lots of gift baskets from family and friends. Manaia, Maelles bestfriend set up her obituary and made a public post on her instagram informing people about our loss.
Aoatea, Maelles eldest daughter is starting to understand what has happened with her mummy. The younger two, Kahikatea and Mahaki just think she's on vacation and want to know when she's coming back.
The funeral is in a few days and the kids has chosen not to join us, which I think is a good thing considering how gloomy it'll be. Though they will join us for her celebration of life.
We have just gotten home to Maelles with the kids, at the moment we will take turns staying with them. Mahaki slept with Pierre and I on a mattress in the living room and the girls slept in Maelles bed together.
