Clover didn't wake up again until that morning. And when she woke up, it was to her heart racing and her body feeling like it was on fire. She didn't understand what was going on but as she looked over at Braith and saw him fast asleep, Clover knew that she had to get out of that bed right then and there or else she was gonna do something to injure herself more.
So ever so slowly, trying very hard not to wake him, Clover got out of bed. She was stark naked, however, save for the bandages around her abdomen and shoulder. Grumbling, she went to Braith's drawer's and pulled out one of his button up shirts. Buttoning it up, Clover realized just how much larger Braith was then her. His shirts were usually quite tight on him, however the one she had grabbed? Clover was practically swimming in it.
Chuckling and shaking her head, she padded out of the room and down stairs to make herself some tea. She smiled at Erina, who was busily cleaning the kitchen. "Erina, good morning."
"Good morning my lady!" She chirped with a smile.
"Always so chipper. I was hoping to make a cup of tea." She said, walking to the tea pot. She just about had it in her hands before Erina slapped them away. Shocked, Clover looked at her.
"Nuh uh! I'll make it for you, My lady. Please go sit at the island." Unused to this, Clover nodded mutely and sat down, watching her. "Would you like anything for breakfast?"
"Well, I am not sure to be honest with you, Erina." Clover told her, shrugging.
Erina merely smiled at her and giggled, setting a fresh cup of tea in front of her. "How about I make you an omelet? The last time I saw you cook breakfast for the master, you had mentioned that they smelled good." She inhaled the aroma wafting from her tea and sighed happily.
"Sure. That sounds good." Clover watched her as she set to work. She couldn't help but feel a wee bit strange at being waited on. "You know I am still working here as well, right? I can make my own food and tea." The scary scowl she got in return for her words almost had her laughing.
"No. My lady, let me take care of you. Please? You are still injured quite badly." Erina said, turning around.
Clover sighed. "I'm injured, not an invalid."
"What's this about an invalid?" Braith's voice appeared beside her and she looked up, barely hiding the shiver that wracked down her spine. He was the epitome of yumminess. A black t-shirt two sizes too small, emphasizing his well toned chest. His gray sweatpants rode low on his hips, and his snow white hair was loose and falling down past his shoulders. His voice was still an octave lower from him waking up and it did wonders to her. She clenched her thighs and shivered again, offering him a smile.
"Nothing. Erina is cooking for me since I'm injured. I told her I'm just wounded, not an invalid." Clover told him, following him as he sat. Damnit he looks so good... She thought, studying him with half lidded eyes.
"There's nothing wrong with that. You need your rest." Braith smiled at Erina in thanks when she set a cup of tea in front of him. "Besides, you won't be returning to your duties."
He took a drink, seeming completely calm. Meanwhile Clover glared at him. "What do you mean? Of course I will. I am still a maid, albeit that was just my cover." She grumbled.
He looked at her, his golden eyes piercing through her. "You are my mate and the lady of this house. I will not have you working like the low-class dog you were." His eyes widened as he realized what he had just said and she watched him cringe. He knew how much trouble he was in. Clover stood silently, her face showing nothing. He stood with her, holding his hands up in surrender. "N-now love...I did not mean it like that.."
