Two hunters were in the woods, they were a woman and her husband, "Artemis," the husband said, she turned to him.

"Yes, Jax?"

"I think we should get back to Autumn," he said, Artemis nodded, smiling.

"I believe we have enough anyway," she agreed, Jaxon nodded and gave her a kiss. They started walking back to town, Artemis frowned, "What if she decides to do something," she asked, looking at Jaxon, he shook his head.

"Tobias said that he had it covered," he said, sighing, "but I understand what you're saying. Besides, it's not like she could get rid of us."

Artemis snorted and shook her head, "Fair enough," she said, as he grabbed her hand. "We need to get back to Autumn," she said, he nodded as they heard hooves hitting the ground.

Jaxon let out a breath, "Tell me that isn't coming towards us," he said, they kept walking, Artemis looked at him.

"I wish," she answered, looking at him, he groaned as they looked at each other.

"Ready for a fight?"

She nodded, "Do we have another choice," she asked, Jaxon shook his head.

"Nope, get up in the tree and act as an archer," he told her, she scoffed and shook her head.

"I'm not leaving you to fight them on your own," she said, grabbing her knife from her waist, he looked at her.

"You're the best archer in this whole kingdom, I'm safer with you up in the tre-"

"No, I'm not leaving you on the ground alone," she said, he huffed and shook his head. "I don't trust it."

He groaned and nodded, "Fine, fine."

Jaxon grabbed his sword as ten horses with a guard on each one stopped in front of them. The guard in the lead dismounted, "Sir Louis, what are you doing here," Jaxon asked, raising an eyebrow, Louis sighed.

"Now, Sir Jaxon, Lady Artemis, you knew this day was coming," he said, Artemis shook her head.

"You know this doesn't need to be done," she said, Louis glanced at his men, frowning.

He looked back at his friends, "I swore my loyalty to the queen," he said, Artemis and Jaxon each raised their blades. "But," Jaxon cracked a small smile, "my loyalties lie elsewhere this time around," he said, moving to stand next to Artemis, she smiled at him.

"Thank you," she said, he nodded, returning her smile.

"You're really gonna betray the queen like this," one of the guards, Benjamin, asked, Jaxon glared at him.

"Screw the queen, what'd the king say," he asked, Louis shook his head, looking at his friend.

"He knows nothing of this little escapade," he said, Jaxon snorted.

"Oh, Tobias is gonna be pissed," he said, Artemis nodded as another guard went and stood beside Jaxon.

Benjamin glared at them, shaking his head, "Fine, if you come willingly, no harm will come to any of you or your daughter," he said, looking at Jaxon and Artemis.

Jaxon shook his head, "You've meant us harm for two years," he said, Artemis scoffed.

"You harmed us by threatening our daughter," she said, Louis and the other guard drew their swords as Artemis tightened her grip on her knife.

"Last chance or we'll do it ourselves," a guard said, Jaxon and Artemis glanced at each other.

"Good luck," they answered, the guards came at them as another one started helping Jaxon and Artemis. The five of them were winning against the seven guards in front of them, Jaxon and Artemis were fighting back to back. Jaxon dropped a guard to see that it was the last one standing.
