The stars were the only textured pieces on the painting, everywhere else was smooth. Not a single paint stroke was visible, if anything it was more like a photo than it was made with oil paints. I leaned in closer the see that small details, I was starting to make out little people when I was yanked away by my sister, Faye was younger than me and way more potent. She had driven me here even though I was the older one, she acted and looked much older than me.
She brought me to her favorite part of the art gallery—the sculptures. "Leo look" she let go of my hand to show me a live performance of a sculptor. I looked at his work behind him he had beautiful vases, and statues, and everyone was with lots of details. "Those are so detailed" I looked over at my sister who was looking at me with a confused face "No, not the art, look at the sculptor-Look similar?" I looked back to see Knox, an old high school classmate "isn't that your old Fuck buddy?"
Vitoria pointed her finger at him. I was silent "I'm leaving" I pushed her finger down. I was back to looking at paintings when I looked over and saw my painting was getting auctioned. "1,500" I heard as I got closer, they just started the bidding. "1,100" I heard from another direction "boo" I felt hands on my shoulders.
"Vitoria, what happened to the live sculpting?" She pouted as she looked at me "well Knox saw you and then ended his performance. So I ran after him and followed him here-" "1 Million" My sister and I both stopped everything we were doing and looked over to see that, Knox had bet one million on my painting "Sold to number 26" I looked at Vitoria she knew what I was doing, and she grabbed my wrist.
She dragged me to the exit "Do you want to leave, You do not need this right now" I slowly nodded "Do you want to go home or-" I cut her off "Home." as I buckled myself in I saw Knox looking around for me, I slid down in my seat and hid my face. Faye seemed to notice too because we left in a hurry.
When we got home I ran straight to my room.
