"Haru, would you save me, even if it costed your life?"
"Yes. Yes I would!"
"I don't believe you."

It was an okay kind of day. Kinda foggy, but you can still see a few feet in front of you. Although, it was a tad bit to cold to go outside. So Hikaru decided to just stay near the fireplace, in the comfort of his own home.

Kenji was out, and about with his brother Katsu. Said they needed some quality family time, which Hikaru didn't mind. He loves seeing Kenji's face bright up whenever he, and Katsu go out anywhere. Just the two of them. Hikaru only wanted the best for Kenji.

It's 9:13PM, on a Saturday night. Hikaru got a glass of milk, and some chocolate chip cookies. He decided to just listen to some audio book, rather than watching the TV. It was peaceful in the house. The sound of rain pouring. Since when did it start raining? The audio book being played on his earbuds. And the dead silence of the house Hikaru stays in. Nothing could possibly ruin this peaceful moment for him.

That was until a loud shut of the front door being heard.

Hikaru jumped a bit in the couch, almost dropping his milk. He quickly set the glass of milk on the coffee table in the middle of the living room. Quickly paused the audio book, and gently takes off the earbuds. He turns his head towards the hallway leading to the front door. Possibly, glaring at whoever decided to interrupt his decent night.

He didn't think to much of it. It was probably Emiko dropping by. So it wasn't really a bother to him. He decided to shrug it off, and continue on with his night.

That was until a voice could be heard.

"Hey Katsu, you home? I'm quite literally soaking wet, and hungry as hell," said the man yelling.

There's only one person that voice could belong to. It definitely wasn't Emiko's. Couldn't be Kenji's either. Nor Katsu's. Those two aren't coming back until Monday morning.

"But it couldn't be. It wouldn't be. I'm just hearing things," Hikaru said in his head.

But all questions, and assumptions were answered once the owner of the voice entered the living room.

None other than Hikaru's brother, Haru Sakurario.

Haru just looked at him in shock, and a bit ashamed.

"Oh, hi Hikaru," Haru said awkwardly.

He had a towel drying his hair, and a set of changed clothes, probably from Katsu. They were a bit baggy, and big on him. Since Katsu was in fact taller than Haru.

They both just stared at each other. Then, Haru looked down to the floor in shame. Hikaru was just eyeing daggers at the man. The hatred in his eyes clearly visible. And they both just stayed quiet for a few moments.

...

"What the fuck are you doing here?" Hikaru said in a strained voice, getting the other man's attention.

Haru just stayed silent, still looking at Hikaru's direction, but avoiding eye contact.

"Answer me damnit!" Hikaru yelled.

Haru just looked at Hikaru, with sadden look on his face. Haru doesn't like getting yelled at, no one does.

"I didn't expect you to be here," Haru mumbled quietly, but loud enough for Hikaru to hear.

Hikaru chuckled a bit.

"What's so funny?" Haru asked.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe the fact you KNOW ABOUT THIS ADDRESS," Hikaru said standing up on the couch, with his hands on the edge.

"AY, KATSU GAVE ME THE ADDRESS SO I CAN COME VISIT HIM, NOT YOU."

"LIKE THAT MAKES ANYTHING BETTER!"

Hikaru looked livid, and Haru had the face of anger, but he was really actually just heartbroken. Not even his own brother can stand him. Oh, how he wishes he never fucked up things in the past. They could've been like Katsu, and Kenji, happy brothers doing activities together.

"I want you out."

Haru just looked at Hikaru with widened eyes.

"You heard me correctly, I want you out Haru," Hikaru said glaring at him.

Haru looked like he just seen a ghost.

"Now now, don't you think we can talk things out?" Haru said looking at him with pleading eyes.

Hikaru just closed his eyes, and began walking towards the front door. Grabbing his coat from the coat rack. Stepping out the door, and slamming it shut. Haru quickly followed behind. Not bothering to grab his coat. He stepped outside, and tried catching up with Hikaru. They were both running, and Hikaru only ran faster trying to lose Haru in the rain. Soon, they were both out of breath, and stopped at a little abandoned hospital.

"Hikaru please! Can't we talk things out?"

"Fucking bullshit, you've always just wanted to torment me, like how you did when we were little!"

"That was ages ago! I've changed Hikaru, I've changed, I really did!" Haru was looking at Hikaru, his back faced towards him.

Rain started pouring even harder. Hikaru slightly soaked since he has his coat on. Meanwhile on the other hand, Haru was completely drenched in water. Soaked wet from all the rain. Not even considering to grab his coat, just so he could catch up with Hikaru.

"Heh, Haru let me ask you something," Hikaru said standing up straight finally catching his breath.

"Would you save me, even if it costed your life?"

"Yes! Yes I would, you mean so much to me. You're my brother, and I'd protect you at all cost! Hikaru you have no idea how much I lo-"

"I don't believe you."

Dead silence, just the sound of rain pouring around them. Haru looked so hurt. Hikaru had his eyebrows furrowed. Slowly, he turned toward Haru, with tears in his eyes, and down his cheeks. They both made eye contact. They were both silently crying, letting their tears fall down their cheeks.

"I was only a little kid. A little kid who didn't deserve half the shit you did to me," he said with a croaked voice.

Haru was, no, he is mad at himself for ever treating him that way.

"And I wish i could take it all back," Haru said stepping foward, "I really really do."

Hikaru was just looking down at the floor, two arms wrapped around him in a hug.

"I'd do anything to be your brother again."

Both stayed in silence, while the rain was the only sound filling the silence. Haru kind of stroked Hikaru's hair, the pink hair he wish he had. Instead of the blond hair he lives with.

Hikaru pushed Haru back gently. Just with enough force to knock Haru back. He put his hands on his face, looking a bit stressed out. He turned around, away from Haru.

"Goodbye Haru."

Haru just looked at him, with zero words.

"And I haven't seen him since that night and it's already been two weeks," he told Emiko, Katsu, and Kenji.
