Lightning Comes Before Thunder

A/N I'm having sm fun writing this book, leave ideas for chapters if you have a good one pls.

Enid woke up with a bandaged arm and a missing Wednesday.
Already off to a bad start. 'Jeez did I hit my head too..?'
She mumbled as she got out of bed seeing thing waving to her happily.
"Hey thing." She smile softly while trying to push herself around her side of the room getting her things together and heading to the bathroom.
She opened the door and took a look around.
'It's...clean..' she thought.
'God I can't hide things very well can I?'
She changed her clothes and did her makeup as usual and put her favorite perfume on.
She threw her old clothes into the laundry basket in the closet and walked out the bathroom and shut the door behind her. She yawned and stretched.
"How long did I sleep thing?"
She questioned.
"About an hour and a half maybe." He signed to her.
She sighed and rubbed her head as she walked over to her dresser and pulled out some Tylenol.
When she got done taking that she went to walk out of her dorm to head to class and saw Wednesday and Ajax.
This just went from a bad start to a worse one. The two people she didn't feel like seeing is right in front of her, and even talking to one another.
"Hey s-sorry I didn't mean to run into you I was looking for Enid. Is she okay I've been worried sick.."
He spoke to Wednesday worried as Enid watched curiously. "She's perfectly fine. She doesn't need you." Wednesday responded to him. Enid could practically feel the anger and venom in her voice.
Interesting fact about werewolves is they can feel the intensity of emotions more than others.
She hated it.
"Then I can go see her right??"
Ajax replied to Wednesday but before she could respond again Enid stepped in.
"Yes, yes you can."
She spoke for her.
"Suit yourself." Wednesday mumbled as she walked up seeming upset. Enid didn't think she was supposed to hear that last part but again...werewolf super hearing also sucks.
Once Wednesday was out of ear shot distance she looked at Ajax.
"What did you need?"
Enid spoke shakily. But sternly.
"I-I wanted to apologize about this morning..I was mean and disrespectful and I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings Enid."
She froze. She remembered everything. The laughing the taunting.
Things like- "you can't be serious Enid?" And "Come on don't be like that." Flooded into her brain and filled every inch of her body with sadness and rage.
"Then why did you do it??? Why did you sit there and let your friends make fun of me and you even joined in???? Ajax I've had a crush on you for FOREVER, and the moment I finally build up the courage to say something I'm laughed in my face??? Do you know how hard it is to tell someone you like them?? Someone who is the complete opposite of you and barely talks to you, do you know how hard that is???"
He was stunned. Lost for words.
Enid felt a little better though. She liked letting her emotions out even just a little bit.
"You could've just told me you liked another girl and left it at that!! Come on dude how stupid and mindless can one singular person be??? I went out of my way to do things for you I went out of my way to personally help you with things I didn't even feel like doing but I did it anyways JUST TO TALK TO YOU. because you don't even listen to me to begin with."
At this point Enid was angry crying. She was livid.
She was frustrated.
"Enid I'm-"
"Save it. I don't even care at this point just get out of here already man.."
She didn't even let him respond as she turned on her heal back to her dorm and slammed the door.
She walked right past thing and sat on her bed again.
"Today just isn't the day Thing." She said quietly as thing scurried over to her.
"I'm really proud of you for speaking your feelings Enid." He signed to her.
She laughed a little even though she was crying.
"Thank you Thing."
"We can have a little girls day and you can ask Yoko if she wants to come over?"
We signed to her again.
Enid lit up just a little bit.
"Yeah that actually doesn't sound that bad Thing, thank you so much."
Enid grabbed her phone off charge and opened her phone-
'Why is there an alarm..??'
Come to think of it there were bandages on her arm that she did not do.
She looked over to thing.
"Did Wednesday set an alarm and bandage my arm??"
She questioned the hand.
He stood there for a minute before he replied.
"No I did."
He signed.
"Oh. Well thank you Thing."
A part of her wishes it was Wednesday but she didn't know why, and her sheets also smelled like the girl too. 'Agh I think I'm going insane, I definitely need to hurry and text Yoko.'
And with that she opened her IMessage and sent her a text, or..a few.
As she waited for a reply she cleaned up the room a small bit and put clothes away and started a load of clothes downstairs and even put some coffee on her mini heating pad. She put together some blankets on the floor and pillows too.
Thing was having some fun too, he seemed to really like jumping off of Enids bed and onto the pile of blankets and pillows. Enid would just giggle and say. "You silly Thing."
A few more minutes pass and Yoko replies.
