While Batman, along with Robin, Flash and Superboy set out to save the city, Green Lantern and his colleagues approached the Intergang base. They halted on a high cliff from where they watched the enemy movements.
Aquaman: Looks like Intergang has armed the base's defenses with the energy weapons from Apokolips.
They also appear to have air support in the form of attack helicopters, not to mention heavy armor.
Green Lantern: You're right; a direct assault would put us under siege. That's why it would be best if Kara uses her speed to attack them from the west while you, Arthur, can follow her as a second wave. Then Firestorm and I can finish them off from the north and east.
Firestorm: Interesting plan, let's just get on with it.
Professor Stein: Patience, Jason.
Jason: Yes Professor.
He replied with a sigh.
Supergirl: I can attack them from the air, best if we knock out their air support before they take off then I'll start attacking the soldiers and base defenses.
Green Lantern: All right, we know the plan. Let's go.
Each of them took their position and as soon as Arthur saw Kara come down on the camp from above and start destroying the helicopters with her heat vision, he joined in the attacks by destroying one of the armored vehicles with his trident.
Meanwhile, Hal created a fighter plane with his ring and destroyed the northern part of the base's defenses. Firestorm swooped down again and with his fire attacks managed to destroy the fuel and ammunition supplies which exploded.
Kara, meanwhile, as she destroyed the helicopters, dropped to the ground and used her speed and super strength to disable the soldiers' weapons and two armored vehicles.
Aquaman in turn created a pressure wave that destroyed the eastern part of the rampart and the two defensive cannons.
Green Lantern created robot construct which trampled the last vehicle firing at him.
Firestorm used a fire attack again and melted the soldiers' weapons.
Intergang called in tanks with experimental energy munitions to defend the base, the first shot was meant to hit Kara but Hal created a shield that blocked the shot. Arthur then used his Atlantean ability and summoned a water wave from a nearby river which knocked the tank over.
Kara used her heat vision to destroy another tank's cannon, and then twisted the last tank's cannon with her hands. The soldiers who were firing at them were knocked out by a blast of fire from the Firestorm.
The fight continued like this as the resistance in the base was not yet broken and Intergang called in all available reinforcements to defend it.
Change scene
The third team passed through two ancient Stones that represented the entrance to the catacombs. The entrance was steep down so all three used their powers and dropped down.
They passed through an entrance that was remodeled with ancient runes.
Zatanna: Roaming the catacombs is not how I imagined this day would go.
Thunderer: Neither did me, as if we were in the dungeons of dragons.
Wonder Woman: Seriously. I didn't know you were a geek?
She asked smirking.
Thunderer: Hey, you pick up a lot when you go to college; I've been on Earth for over six months now.
