(This chapter and the next will focus on the final class in the remedial course since it bothers me that it was never in the show. After that, back to focusing on IzuOcha.)

"Alright! As you all may know, this will be your final remedial class, making this your last chance to earn your Provisional Licenses!" Gang Orca declared to the students all lined up in front of him. "If you don't earn them this time around, you may never catch up with the rest of your classmates. SO YOU BETTER GIVE IT YOUR ALL! GOT IT?!"
"YES SIR!" The nervous students announced back. Among the group were a certain pair of students from U.A. High's infamous First Years. Shoto Todoroki, a cool and level-headed combatant and the son of Japan's Number 1 Hero, Endeavor. And Katsuki Bakugo, a brash and headstrong hothead and one of the school's most impressive students. Both were determined to make up for their previous failures and prove to themselves that they still had what it takes to become heroes.

"Now then, I hope you're all ready for a little trip because this test will be taking place offsite." Gang Orca had declared. "We'll be taking you to a special facility, constructed especially for this exercise." He gestured to the door, where the students started to leave in an orderly fashion.

Once they got out, they saw two buses that were parked there, ready to take them to the special facility. In front were the respective drivers, who held clipboards with the list of students' names and when they called one of those names, they'd go to that bus. Todoroki was assigned to the left bus and Bakugo was sent to the right one.

Shoto got on the bus and took his seat near the back. As other students got on, gathering with their friends, he thought to himself about the exam and the way he had been acting. It was eating him up. He couldn't bear to think that he cost the entire Exam for himself over a petty rivalry.
'What are you two doing?!'
The angry remark from his classmate looped in his head constantly. And he wasn't the only one.
"Hey, Todoroki!" Said a large, abrasive first-year from Shiketsu High. His name was Inasa Yoarashi. Aside from Classes 1-A and 1-B from U.A., he was the only First Year who took the Exam. At first, he and Shoto got along like cats and dogs but have warmed up to each other over time, becoming a pretty strong combination.

"Is this seat taken?" Inasa asked.
"No." Shoto answered.
"Mind if I sit here?" Inasa asked.
"No." Shoto answered.
"Thanks." Inasa then took the empty seat next to Todoroki and started another conversation. "So. Our final course is today. You nervous?"
"A little." Shoto answered.
"Well, I've never seen more nervous. I almost couldn't finish my breakfast!" He finished with a small chuckle.
"You don't sound nervous." Todoroki rebutted.
"Maybe, but I haven't been able to stop thinking about all this. If I screw up this time, there's no second chance."
"You'll still have next year though."
"But I wanna earn my licence ASAP. You understand, don't you? That's why you took these courses instead of waiting for next year." Shoto smirked a little.
"You've got me there."
Things suddenly got a bit quiet between the two. Neither one said a word for a solid minute or two until Todoroki spoke up.
"Yoarashi." He said in a serious tone. "We're both aware of the mistakes we made last time. And we're not gonna do the same thing again."
"Right." Inasa responded, equally serious. "This time, we'll earn our licenses, fair and square."
"It's a promise." Said Todoroki. Inasa offered his hand so they could shake on it, which Shoto accepted.

Bakugo took his seat on the bus, near the back. He sat in thought, his mind wandering to when he failed the original Exam. The immense disappointment he felt then could still be felt today. He wanted to catch up with the rest of his classmates. He wanted to keep working as a Hero so that he could become the best of the best and surpass All Might. Not just All Might but also a certain green-haired boy he's known since he was a child. That boy had inherited his power from Bakugo's hero and he was desperate not to fall behind someone who he viewed as beneath him for so long.
'Deku. I'll show you that I've still got it.' He thought with a determined glare as he looked out the window.
"Hey, Bakugo!" Said a female voice. He looked over and saw a girl with fair skin and fawn-coloured hair.
