Raven opened her eyes and found herself lying on the grass. She starred at it in disbelief, she hadn't seen anything but the darkness for months.Tears of joy seemed to spill from her eyes.
She looked up at the sky, the moon half full. She didn't know how she got back to mystic falls but she would figure that out later, first and foremost, she needed to see her family. She was in town square, but not for long. She ran as fast as her weak body could towards her house. She made it to her house and unlocked the door when she started to yell with the little voice she had left from exhaustion.
" Mom! Dad! Stef!" Balling her eyes out she was overcome with emotion. She went to the kitchen and looked to her left into the dining room where she spotted her family all starring back at her from the dining room table.
Being able to see there faces again was a blessing in itself but when they spoke back relief flooded her body.
" Raven honey, is that really you baby?" Asked Elena with water flooding in her eyes.
She got up from her seat and walked over it Raven. She had no memory of her daughter but she'd recognized her from the photo. She believed with her full heart that this was really her daughter and being graced with her presence confirmed her beliefs.
Elena walked over to Raven and cupped her face with her hands. She scanned her eyes on her face to make sure she was okay and wiped the tears from her daughter's face with her thumb.
Once she finished scanning Ravens face she looked her in the eyes and saw the relief in them.
Raven had finally found her way back, she didn't know how but one thing she did know was that she felt safe.
The comfort her mother showed her reassured her that she was safe and could finally sleep.
" Oh thank god." Raven muttered the few words under her breathe before she finally succumbed to her exhaustion and collapsed on the ground.
_____________________________Stefanie was in complete disbelief.
She didn't know if her mind was playing tricks with her from all the weed she smoked with Mike before dinner or if her sister was really in front of her.
She was on the ground in her mothers arms. Her father ran over to the both of them and picked her up from the ground and brought her upstairs.
She didn't know if it was to good to be true, but Raven was back. The first thing that came to mind was to tell Mike.
She cleared the thought from her head and walked over to her mom.
"Mom, wh- what are we gonna do? She's been through to much, how can we help her when we don't even know what she's been through?" Stef stammered.
Her mom looked her in the eyes and tried to calm her down. " I know what we have to do, she's in too much distress. I know you won't like this but it's be better if she could just forget." Stef was in shock but nodded her head for her mom to continue.
"I'm going to call your aunt Care to come over her and take her memory away."
Elena brought Stef into a deep hug and whispered in her ear, " It's for the best sweetie, she needs to forget all her trauma or else she'll never be able to move on from this." Elena pulled back from the hug and went into the other room to call Caroline.
Stefanie hated the idea of Raven not being able to remember anything from her time in Malivore but she understood why her mother wanted her to forget.
She didn't want her sister to feel broken for the rest of her life.
