Count Down To Yuletide Chapter 17- Part III - Pembroke Castle

Welcome To Pembroke Territory

After three days of traveling, Lord Andrew Charles,  Lord Richard William Carey , their children and Lady Karissa, Marchioness of Pembroke Territory enter Pembroke Territory with Lady Karissa leading the way in the Howard carriage with Lady Elizabeth holding Lady Sophia Dorothea in her arms and with Lady Samhain, Lady Caroline Matilda and Lady Anastasia Christina in her carriage, following behind her is the Howard carriage carrying Lord Andrew Charles Howard with Lord Anthony Christopher and Lord Albert and Lord Richard William Carey and Lord Benjamin Lawrence Carey in the Carey carriage.

No one knows that Lady Karissa and her family are coming to Pembroke Territory to celebrate Yuletide, but Lady Karissa and her family are in for a big surprise as Pembroke is known for their surprises and they love their Marchioness.

Lady Karissa with her daughters cross over the border from Wessex to Pembroke Territory and the other two carriages follow and Lady Karissa stops for a little while to rest in her carriage to check on Lady Sophia Dorothea and all of sudden all the musicians come out of nowhere and people line the streets to Pembroke Territory to greet their Marchioness and her family.

From the distance is Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley and Lt. Richard Williams, both are very good friends of Lady Karissa's and they come to celebrate the holidays with Lady Karissa and her family at Pembroke Castle.

The musicians start to play some medieval music and they start to dance in the streets to welcome her to back to Pembroke Territory as it has been some time since Lady Karissa has been there. 

Lady Karissa smiles at her people and  Lt. Kevin Thomas Riley and Lt. Richard William walks up to her carriage and they both offer her their hands and she accepts them both and Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William watch as Kevin and Richard help Lady Karissa out of her carriage and they help Lady Elizabeth, Lady Samhain, Lady Caroline Matilda, Lady Anastasia Christina and Lady Elizabeth is holding Lady Sophia Dorothea in her arms, and Kevin walks over and he helps Lord Anthony, Lord Albert Edward and Lord Benjamin Lawrence out of their carriage so they can walk with their mother, Lady Karissa and their sisters.

Kevin Thomas Riley walks on Lady Karissa right side and Richard William walks on her left side and the children and Lady Karissa are between them and Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William Carey walk in front of her and behind the children and Lady Karissa.

The mayor of Pembroke Territory walks up to Lady Karissa and he bows to her  " Your Grace, I heard that you were  coming and little bird told me."  The mayor tells her.

"Oh! What little bird told you?" Lady Karissa says with a laugh.

"Your Grace. Your father in law." The mayor tells her.

"Who else would have told you, Lord Charles Andrew JR does't know how to keep a secret." Lady Karissa tells him.

"It has been such a hard time since you last came to visit us, Your Grace." The mayor tells her.

"I would have come early, but I was detained with the birth of Lady Sophia Dorothea." Lady Karissa explains.

"This is Her Grace, The Duchess of Gloucester Territory." Lady Karissa tells her people and she presents Lady Sophia Dorothea who is the great-great-great-granddaughter of Lord Patrick William Howard.

The people of Pembroke loved Lord Patrick William Howard when he was alive, and they loved his daughter, Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard who was their first Marchioness of Pembroke Territory from 2190 until 2250.

When Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard died in 2250, and it fell into Abyss. The people have to petition Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR or Lord George Frederick Carey, who were his oldest great-grandsons as Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR was Duke of Norfolk Territory in 2250 and Lord George Frederick Carey was Duke of Bedford Territory in 2250 and Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR and  Lord Robert Frederick Carey both had sons in 2250.

Pembroke Territory was given a new Marchioness of Pembroke Territory in 2275, and it was Lady Karissa Elizabeth Ann Howard in gratitude for having Lady Elizabeth Victoria Ann Beltane in May of 2275.

The people had fond memories of Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard and it broke their hearts when she died at the age of 80 years old.

Lady Elizabeth Ann Howard was the younger sister of Lord Frederick William Howard and she was born in 2170 when Lord Frederick William Howard was only five years old and she was the grandaunt of Lord Charles Andrew Howard JR, Lord Richard Edward Howard Senior, Lord Edwin William Howard and Lord George Frederick Carey as her nephews were Lord Frederick  William II, Lord Charles Andrew Senior, Lady Sophia Charlotte and Lord Andrew Charles Howard.

Lord Patrick William Howard doted on his daughter, Lady Elizabeth Ann, and Lord Frederick William Howard knew it and he resented it, but Lord Patrick William Howard created her Marchioness of Pembroke when she was 18 years old in 2188.

Lord Frederick William Howard didn't approve but he dare not cross his father when it came to his decisions and he knew better.

Kevin Thomas Riley and Richard Williams  walks with Lady Karissa and her children and they greet her people and people walk up to her and they curtsy and bow to her and they hand her presents to give to the children during the holiday season and Lady Karissa summons Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William " Please take the gifts to the carriage."  

The people gather around Lady Elizabeth as they believe she will succeed her mother as third Marchioness of Pembroke Territory, but Lady Karissa hasn't made the decision yet.

"Your Grace, who will your successor be?" The Mayor asks her.

"My Good Sir. I haven't made up my mind as yet.  Rest assure you will have a successor." Lady Karissa explains, "Lady Elizabeth is heiress to Norfolk and her sisters have their territories as does their brothers. " 

"My successor will be one of my granddaughters either from my oldest daughter or son." Lady Karissa tells them.

Kevin and Richard walk with Karissa and her children and the music starts to play once again and Kevin, Karissa and Richard walk out  into the crowd and they start to dance with the  people of Pembroke Territory. 

Finally, Lady Karissa smiles and she curtsy to her people with Kevin and Richard by  her side. They walk her back to her carriage and Lord Richard William Carey has Kevin take his carriage and he leads the Howard carriage carrying Lady Karissa and the children to Pembroke Castle.

The Howard-Carey entourage with Kevin and Richard drive up the driveway of Pembroke Castle and standing outside is the butler and the servants of Pembroke Castle waiting for Lady Karissa and her family to arrive. 

All the servants bow or curtsy to Lord Andrew Charles, Lord Richard William and Lady Karissa and the children  and Lady Karissa hands Lord Anthony and Lord Albert Edward to Lord Andrew Charles " Please put our sons to bed."  Lady Karissa asks.

"Lord Richard William. Please take Lady Caroline Matilda and Lord Benjamin Lawrence to bed." Lady Karissa asks.

"I will take Lady Elizabeth, Lady Samhain, Lady Anastasia and Lady Sophia Dorothea with me and see them to bed." Lady Karissa tells them.

Lady Karissa carries Lady Sophia Dorothea in her arms and the little girls follow her up the stairs." Ladies. This is your suite.  If you need anything use the bell and one of the maids will take care of you."  Lady Karissa tells the girls.

"I have to go see to your brothers. " Lady Karissa explains, " and she walks out of the suite and down the hall and into the suite where the boys are " My dear sons. If you need anything please ring the bell and the butler will help you.'  Lady Karissa tells her sons.

"Lord Andrew Charles. You know where our suite is and Lord Richard William you are in adjourning suite, and Kevin and Richard are down the hall." Lady Karissa tells them.

"I have to go take care of Lady Sophia Dorothea. " Lady Karissa tells them " Keep yourself entertained " 

"It has been a long trip from Beltane Manor to Pembroke." Lady Karissa tells them " I am sure we can all use the rest and a hot bath and a change of clothes. " 

"We will all meet for Yuletide evening." Lady Karissa tells them " Kevin and Richard have placed all the presents for the children under the Yuletide tree."  

Lady Karissa curtsy to both Lord Andrew Charles and Lord Richard William and she walks out of the living room and up the stairs to her suite with Lady Sophia Dorothea in her arms.
