She Got The Best Of Me : How Y'all Met

Alexis P.O.V.:
I walked into a small bar with creaky wooden floors , the building smelled of whiskey and marijuana. I walked over to the counter and sat on the small bar stool to order a drink. "Bourbon." I said. The bartender poured me a small shot glass of bourbon. "That all you got Michael?" I asked Sarcastically. "This s**t ain't free , baby." Michael said. "Have you met that new Luke guy?" "All the girls are saying that he fell from heaven." I said as I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "Big Luke?" Michael laughed. "I guess." I said. "Well I'm gonna go to the little girls room." I added. "Hey Lexi, give heaven some hell." Michael said with a wink. I went to the restroom and then walked back out to a dance floor filled with people. I went to fix myself another drink. "Two bud lights." A man said. I looked over at him. It was who i though was that Luke guy that everybody was talking about. "Are you Luke?" I asked him. "Yes ma'am nice to meet you." He said reaching out to shake my hand. I shook his. I couldn't help but look at him , he was so handsome. "I'm Alexis." I told him. "Sang something for us." Michael said in his southern accent. "Come on man don't do that." Luke said embarrassed. "Come on." Michael said. Luke sang and it sounded beautiful. I really wanted to get his number , but I was too scared to ask him for it. "Pay for his drink." Michael said. "No , I'm not." I added. "Pay for his drink and then write your number on his receipt." Michael said. "Alright." I agreed. "Umm do you mind if I pay for your drinks?" I asked shyly. "Why?" Luke asked. "Just want to do something nice for someone." I said. "Well if you're paying I'll get drunk." Luke joked. So I payed for his drinks and put my number on his receipt. Luke sang karaoke that night. "So I went over to the bag to grab some drinks and there was this girl sitting over there , and she asked me if she could pay for my drinks , and I knew this girl wanted something , I just didn't know what but she wanted my phone number. So Alexis , baby I'll call you." Luke said with a wink.

So the next day I received a phone call , I picked it up think that maybe it was Luke , but then I thought in my head that it was too good to be true. I heard his accent , his voice , and I knew that it was Luke. I was so excited but I didn't say anything. He asked me if I had plans this Saturday night , I told him know and he asked me if I wanted to meet at a restaurant in Nashville.
That Saturday came and I walked up to a restaurant that read "Ole Red" right in the middle of Nashville , Tennessee.
Luke was already kind of known , he had already toured once , but it was a small tour. I walked in and saw Luke sitting at the bar. "Hey." I said to him. "Alexis!" He said as he sat me in his lap. "This is my girlfriend Alexis." Luke said. I could tell that Luke was a bit tipsy because he is normally kind of a shy person. "That's right." I said as I kissed him. If Luke was into it , so was I. I played right into his little game. Me and Luke talked for hours about our love for country music singers and Jesus. I didn't want that night to end. I never wanted to stop hanging around Luke , His looks ,His Laugh , His smile , his personality. I had fallen for Luke even though I had only known him a week.
Luke and me went home that night , separately.
I called Luke the next day to ask him if he wanted to go on another date. He said that he was busy with touring but that when he got done he would love to. I said okay and then got off of the phone. I started to sing one of my favorite songs "Whiskey Glasses" - by Morgan Wallen. "I don't wanna think about him , wear a ring without him , I don't wanna hit the karaoke bar , can't sing without him." I sang. "You sound beautiful." Luke said from the other side of the phone. I thought that I had hung up but I didn't , and neither did he. "Oh my God Luke!" I said as I didn't want him to hear me. "You sound beautiful." He told me. "Thank you , I-I have stage fright so I don't sing in front of people." I told Luke. "Well how would you like to go on tour with me?" "I mean I know that you're scared but I thought that it would be a way for us to spend more time together." Luke said. Luke made a valid point.
Tonight was our first show and I was very nervous. Over 50,000 people , I didn't know if I could continue with the show. But all I could think about is how much I wanted to be with Luke , and that I would suffer through three hours to be with him.
Luke came out on stage , the lights brighten and my fave was revealed to the world. I was so nervous.
Luke started to strum his guitar. He started humming as he began to sing the first like to his hit "She Got The Best Of Me." Luke sang the first line and I sang the second , and vice versa until the song was over , before I knew it me and Luke rocked out a whole show together! A whole show! Luke came up and hugged me. I kissed him. I couldn't help myself. He smiled at me and winked , with a blush that appeared across his face.
