The office

A young lady was standing looking at the tall highskyper building with a smile, after standing outside for a while she wore her shades back and walked into the building with a majestic walking step. Everyone who was in the receptionist office greeted her without thinking twice.

"Good day ma'am." The secretary greeted her with her head bowed.

The young lady didn't reply to their greeting, she just walked past them and they all returned back to their job. She walked to the elevator and pressed some buttons and the elevator door closed. She brought out her phone from her expensive handbag and dialed a number and a guy picked up.

"I'm so upset with you, I tried calling your phone yesterday but you didn't pick up. Why is that?" The young lady muttered in an angry voice.

"Uh…I'm sorry, I wasn't so busy yesterday in the office that's why I couldn't pick up…in fact I was about to call you before you called me." The guy said.

"Hmmm." She hummed.

"So how are you doing?" 

"I'm cool, just wanted to let you know that I'll be coming over to your place tonight." The lady said with a smile.

"Alright I'll be expecting you, I can't wait to see your pretty face..I miss it."

"Lol Xavier stop flattering me, you saw me the day before yesterday." The lady said as she laughed.

"Guess I'm addicted to your pretty face so I can't seem to get enough of you." Xavier said and the lady blushed red.

"Dude I've had enough of your flattering. Talk later darl." The lady said as she hung her still laughing hard. 

Immediately the elevator stopped and the door opened. She changed her chirpy expression to that of a cold hearted ceo…yeah she's Catherine Sara the owner of C.S one of the famous entertainment companies in the country. Catherine is a well known figure and being the youngest lady to achieve this much, she has gained a lot of respect and fear from the elite and important people in the society. Every guy in the country wants a woman like her to be wife.

She walked elegantly into her cozy and cool office, her office was made of glass where only those inside can see those outside and those outside can see what's inside…as she walked into her office, the lovely and fresh scent filled her. She sat on the sofa with her laptop in front of her, it was obvious the sofa was soft…as her butt sank into it the moment she sat on it.

Her eyes were focused on her laptop. Just then someone barged into the office without knocking.

"Wassup bestie." A young lady said with a smile.

"Kira you're here!." Catherine squealed as she raised her head.

"Yup your Kira is here." Kira muttered and they both hugged.

"When did you come back? I thought you said you'll be back to the country next week?" Catherine asked.

"C'mon Cathy, offer me a seat first before asking me all you want to ask." 

"Oh c'mon have a seat…why ask me." Catherine said and Kira laughed.

"So how are you doing?" 

"I'm fine Kira…firstly tell me why you're back so soon?"

"Uh I canceled my contract with the modeling company."

"Why! What's wrong…hope you've not caused some problem there." Cathy asked with a worried expression.

"I didn't cause any problem…it was mum who called me that I'll come back to the country."

"Why will aunty ask you to come back to the country, isn't she aware that you've a business to deal with over there."

"I tried explaining it to her but she refused to listen to me, do you want to hear the shocking part of it all?" Kira asked as she waited for Cathy's reaction.

"What?"

"Mom and dad said I'll get engaged this week but they didn't tell me the exact day." Kira said with a dull expression.

"ENGAGED! Why?  this is wrong" 

"Yeah I know it's wrong but what can I do? You know dad never takes no as an answer…so.."

"So what? Will you get engaged to someone you don't know at all." Cathy shouted.

"I can understand that you're worried about me but I feel I should listen to what my parents said, infact mum told me the guy I will be getting engaged to is very wealthy and also handsome." Kira muttered.

"Kira I can't believe you're saying this, you've really changed. Kira, you're not the bestie I used to know, the bestie I used to know would always tell me that she will only marry for love and nothing else. Kira just tell me what's wrong with you!" Cathy shouted as she looked at Kira.

"Nothing is wrong with me. I'm perfectly okay."

"You're not okay Kira. In Fact I should be blaming the man who wants to marry you without even knowing you. How can a guy be so stupid.*

"Lol Cathy you should be thinking about your man not thinking about my Man. What if your man Xavier is exactly like the man who wants to marry me?" Kira asked with a smirk.

"No darn way! Xavier cannot be like that man. He only loves me so why would he do such a thing?"

"Humm." Kira scoffed.

"Kira I just want the best for you so don't make the wrong mistake."

"Cathy please don't start now, I came to share something with you and you are discouraging me instead of encouraging me."

"Are you expecting me to encourage you to marry a man you don't know because he's handsome and he's wealthy. Kira why would you want a man just because he's wealthy, your family is also wealthy so please don't make a stupid decision."

"Wow Cathy so you just called my decision stupid. I hate you! You're not a good friend to me, a good friend will always wish for greater not thinking like a pervert." Kira shouted as she left the office angrily without looking back.

"Gush I hope Kira realizes her mistakes before she regrets it all." Cathy said as she ruffled her hair.
