"Hey, Abi, are you busy? Are you at your apartment or your house? Can we meet there? Like, right now? I have something to tell you." I said.
I dropped the call immediately after saying that.

I decided to walk to her house since she's just 5 streets away and I needed time to think. I noticed Abi's house. I knocked on the door and her parents let me in. They said that Abi was at her room and she's waiting for me. I said a quick thank you then rushed to her room.
Once I entered her room, Abi started bombarding me with questions. "What are you going to tell me? Are you okay? Are you pre—"
I pressed one of my hands against her mouth and placed my finger over my lips in a quiet sign and said. "No, I'm not Abi. But before I tell you everything, you need to calm down first. Deep breaths"
She started to take very deep breaths until her heavy breathing calmed down. "Ok, you may now start." she said.
"I don't know how to say this but I know that my career has been providing me more than enough and last Wednesday, I took a trip to New York and then found an apartment that I want to live in. I bought it and I'll be moving out next week. I want to live in New York and I know that it will be a big adjustment for me. I want to live my life out there and explore, I want to expand my career and I think that living there is the only way to do it."
Abi remained silent for a few minutes as if she's trying to comprehend what I just said. She then spoke, "It's okay, Tay. I understand. If that's where you're happy then I'll support you all the way. Don't forget me there, okay? We'll keep in touch. I'll help you pack if I'm not busy." She then gave me a sad smile and hugged me.
Then the waterworks exploded.
We hugged for what may seem hours and she said that we should have a sleepover so we can bond over her house for the last time. I agreed. We watched lots and lots of movies during that night and reminisced every detail in all the moments that we spent together. We tried to cherish each second as this may be our, hopefully not, last night on having a sleepover at her house together.

For the next few days, we, my parents, Abi, and I, packed my belongings and cleaned up everything in my room. It's like walking down the memory lane, for each item that I had in my room and the whole house reminds me of something, may it be good or bad. I'll surely miss that place, there's no doubt about it.

On the day of my flight, we had our last bonding through eating together on a famous fast food chain just near the airport.
Abi and my family sent me off. They all hugged me for the last time and said many things along the lines of taking care of myself, call them if I ever had any problems, and so on and so forth.
My family and I went on ahead to our separate flights. My parents took a flight to Rhodes Island where their house is and my brother took a flight to Indiana to go back to uni.
As I wait for my plane, a swarm of questions invaded my thoughts. What will happen when I go to New York? Will my career end? Will I just be history? Will I need to change myself to maintain my image? Will I be happy?
I never liked the idea of making changes, big or small. I always said to myself that I will never move in one of the biggest cities ever known to the world because I'm contented with my life. I even said that I will never be loved and known by many people. Yet here I am, sitting inside the airport as I wait for my plane going to New York, one of the most popular cities of the world, as I take another step into my singing career.
I never expected to sing all these songs that I wrote and popularize them. I never even dreamt to be popular, known and loved all over the world. Yet here I am, an artist who is sharing her life, experiences, thoughts, and emotions to others through songs. An artist who is selling albums whose songs are heard all over the world, walks down the red carpet, bargains awards from the Grammy's, loved by fans, loathed by haters, besties with celebrities, and even go to dates with some of them.
Even if I fail five things are for sure, 1) I'll always be a songwriter and share these inspirational songs to people, 2) I will always sing the songs that I made, 3) I know that whatever course my life will take, my family and true friends will always be there to support and guide me, 4) I will welcome everyday with a smile on my face, and 5) I will always try and grasp every chance that is given to me, I'll never give up.
I can't still predict where I will be in many years as I take up my career in this industry to a whole new level but I will make every second count in this fast-changing world. I don't know what the future has laid for me but I will leave that to the hands of our Creator because he's the only one who knows what will happen.
I'll surely miss it here at Nashville but I'm not going to give up this opportunity. I'm Taylor Alison Swift and this is my story. New York, here I come!
—————————————————————————————————————————————————————-
I fell asleep throughout my flight. As I stepped down my plane, there's only one thing that came to my mind. "Welcome to New York." I then decided to write a song about it as it was a great change for me.
