Chapter 1

Lake drown. That is what the lake is called, lake drown. This lake is the deadliest lake in the world and my parents have a cabin there. Anna is now basically my sister considering my parents are divorced and don't care about me and I have to live with her and go to school at the exact same time and help with all of her chores. It was awesome but I have to deal with her little sisters and brother also the older ones as well. But with the help of Alexa I have gotten an excuse to leave the house every time I wanted to get out of situations that I have wanted to slap someone. This is always something that happens three times a day around breakfast, lunch and dinner. That is what Anna likes to bug me about and sometimes I get a feeling that she knows something I don't. That is what I wrote in my diary when all of a sudden I hear a banging at the door. Rushing out of my room I yell," I'll get it" Assuming it's Alexa I grab my jacket and head outside. Hurrying out of the door I run into a muscular figure. My head snaps up and I see a glance of Able the football player of my school and the guy every girl is falling for even me. Blushing I quickly apologized while looking around but I didn't see Alexa, Able grabs me and hides in a bush. I try to scream but his hand covered my mouth and all I could do was bite him. Cursing under his breath he shoved me in his car and sped away. After a while I got so nervous I passed out and woke up in a strange bed. Almost as if someone had been watching me there was a banging at her door. Rushing to get up and hide she stumbled and tripped over the bed. Luckily she was trained in karate and gymnastics. Sliding under the bed she steadied her breathing while the door flew open. Chuckling a strange guy stalked around the room he was muttering a creepy saying to quiet for her to hear. Slowly he stalked around eyeing the bed suspiciously. After ten minutes he jumped onto the bed slamming her head against the floor. Cursing under her breath she felt the wound which was as long as her forehead and gushing blood. There was a bucket under the bed as if this always happened. Mia knew that this was a trap and that if she let her blood spill into the it would make noise. Mia was not dumb and knew that this was a way of letting them know her IQ and where she was. Kicking the wall the guy rolled under the bed Mia knew she only had a few seconds to figure out where to hide and physically. Luckily I knew how to handle this because unfortunately this is not the first I have gone through something like this. Jumping up in the beams I widen my eyes to get a better look at this strange man. Sighing he looks up into the beams at this time I was wearing black and the guy could not see me in the darkness. Shaking his head he crawled out, unlocked the door and marched out. The last thing I heard was him mutter," boss is not going to be happy." Finally I could get some time alone to figure out where I was and assess the situation. This was a great opportunity to see if I am worthy of being a detective. Scanning the room I look around the room and see a covered cobwebby window, a dresser filled with dresses that were way to tight. The last thing in the room was the bed. The only thing I could hear was creepy humming. The humming was faint and I guessed that whoever was humming must be in a different room. Recognition swept over her as she realized Alexa always hummed the most beautiful song turned into a creepy, dark song. Alexa was often called a freak for this but Alexa did not care only one person hurt her with these words. That person would be Able she would run home, lock the door to her her room and break down crying for hours sometimes it would take days for her to cheer up. Often Alexa would hum her favorite song You Know You Want Me. That was the song that was playing at prom when she had met Able. Shaking my head I realized that I was lost in thought again this often happened and was a problem if I want to be a detective. Moving closer to the walls the song was getting closer and closer. The closer it got the louder and slower it was as if they knew I was listening. Then banging on my neighboring door, a loud shout probably containing many bad words and threats. Next there was whimpering, a gun shot, and a scream. It all came back to me the voice it was Alexa's they had Alexa here! If they had Alexa they must also have had to have Anna! Running to the other wall I hear the saddest most broken sob I had ever heard. They were keeping us all here but the real question is why they want us in a different room and why they want me to hear them suffer. Whoever was involved in this was sick and disgusting. But clever I have to admit that they succeeded in tricking, trapping, and confusing me to the point of insanity. They couldn't break her not yet they have to fight me first. Loud footsteps headed toward my door not again not so quickly this time I bet it is Able the so called "boss." This can't be good but this might also be exciting a new adventure something out of the ordinary. This is fun really fun.... what's happening to me?......... Get me out of here!
