The members had been asked by one of their bosses to let a family friend stay at their house. The members couldn't help but be a little bit annoyed.
"Why is it always us? Why do we always have to let people stay over?" Jimin asked.
"You have the biggest house and most room, and you guys are the best at hospitality. It's just for a few days," their boss replied.
The members rolled their eyes.
"Well what's in it for us if we let him stay at our house?" Hobi asked.
"How about the entire week off?" their boss replied. The members were shocked at that and immediately started laughing and saying how this family friend could stay with them any time if it meant they got time off. They gave in and told their boss yes.
When the man arrived at their house, he had packed light, with just a suitcase. He introduced himself as Shi-Lin, but said they could all just call him Shin. He was a little bit older than Jin.
"Jin and Shin..hahaha," Taehyung had laughed. Jin gave Taehyung a playful nudge, "Stop it, will you?"
Jin wouldn't admit he also found it kind of funny.
Jungkook and Hobi took it upon themselves to show Shin around and get him acquainted to the place. They showed him the guest room he'd be staying in and the members all warmed up to him quickly.
Shin seemed like a very nice man. He was well put together, groomed nicely, he had a certain charm to him that nobody could quite point out. Part of him seemed mysterious, and Yoongi thought that was really cool.
Shin seemed to take an immediate liking to Jungkook the most. Nobody thought anything of it, they all knew Jungkook's maknae status made him someone everyone couldn't help but coddle and want to hang out with. Even the hyungs were guilty of it.
The first ounce of concern over just how much Shin was starting to admire Jungkook had first arose in Jimin. Jimin couldn't help but notice maybe the man was being a little too touchy with the youngest. Whenever one of the hyungs would hug or kiss the maknae playfully, Shin would too. Jungkook figured it was all in good fun, but Jimin thought it was plain weird.
Shin doesn't even know Jungkook.
He didn't want to seem paranoid, so Jimin decided he'd keep his concerns to himself, but he'd keep an eye on the man. It was hard for him to trust anyone, and if Jimin experienced even an ounce of distrust in a person, that meant no trust at all.
While most were getting started on dinner, Jungkook was taking a shower. Shin insisted he had to pee and couldn't hold it.
"Well you have to wait for Kookie to get out of the bathroom first," Yoongi replied, not even paying attention as he put plates on the table.
"I can't hold it," Shin had said.
"I could give you a water bottle to pee in," Hobi chuckled. "He won't be too long he takes quick showers."
Without reply, Shin had snuck towards the bathroom. Jimin saw him leaving and quietly followed behind him. He watched as Shin tried turning the door handle to the bathroom and like always, the maknae had left it unlocked. Shin started to slowly push the door open as the sound of the shower rushed out into the hallway.
"You were told to wait," Jimin spoke up before Shin could open the door more.
"But it's open," Shin replied flatly. Jimin grabbed the handle and gently pulled the door closed again.
