Walking around the living room, you stared out onto the busy city, your mind empty.
With a sigh, you sat down on the couch and turned on the TV.
Eventually hours later you have drifted off to sleep. Not knowing that later on, your wife, Gwendoline, had walked in.
Gwendoline raised an eyebrow as the TV was still on, yet the living room looked empty. She grabbed the remote from the table and turned it off. Turning around she had spotted you already asleep.
She smiles giving you a light feathery kiss on the forehead, setting her bag down on the floor then picking you up. Careful to not wake you from your slumber.
She brought you to your shared bedroom and set you down on the bed. Pulling the blanket over you.
Gwendoline then got changed to her pajamas and joined you on the bed.
Her arms wrapping around your waist, pulling you into her.
Her face hiding on the crook of your neck.
In the middle of the night you then woke up with a yawn, the grip on your waist tightened as you sat up.
You wonder how you got on the bed as you remember falling asleep on the couch.. but then of course, Gwendoline.
"Mm... what's wrong honey?" Gwendoline yawns.
"Nothing.. nothing I just need a glass of water." You mutter sliding off the bed and walking to the kitchen.
As you closed the door of the fridge Gwendoline appeared behind it. You flinch at the unexpected appearance.
"God you scared me." You say a bit frightened.
She chuckles and snakes both of her long arms around your waist from behind.
You then drink your water while the tall woman rests her chin on top of your head, as her eyes shut close.
"Honey can we go back to bed now?" She asks in a whiny tone. You chuckle at her.
"Gwen you didn't need to follow me all the way to the kitchen just to get a glass of water right?" You say.
"I know but I want you by my side." She mumbles.
You laugh softly.
"I love you so much." You whisper to her.
"I love you so much more." She replies.
Soon you then put the cup on the sink and grabbed Gwen's hand, pulling her back to bed.
Gwen then rested her head on top of your chest, her hand running up and down your thigh.
"Y/N?" She whispers.
"Yes?" You say with your eyes close.
"If I was to tell you, back when we were in high-school that I liked you.. do you think we would still be together till now?" Gwen whispers.
Your eyes flutter open.
You positioned yourself to sit upright, Gwen then adjusts herself so that her head is now resting on your lap.
"Well it would depend on us, there's no knowing if we would still be together.. but all I can say is that... I would've told you I liked you too." You respond to her question.
"You liked me back in high-school?"
"Technichally when we first met at the park but yes." You smile softly at the memory.
"And you never told me?" Gwen raises an eyebrow facing you now.
"Well how could I possibly tell you? I didn't know you liked me back ages ago until now." You laugh, and she laughs with you.
"Good point." Gwen says kissing you.
Both of you then pull away smiling, and then you yawned.
"Alright let's go to sleep." Gwen says softly as she pulls you into her warm body, both of you drifting off to sleep.
