Doris let out a deep sigh, her eyes rolling back in her head as euphoria took over. She sat down at one of the tables in the school library, textbook clutched to her chest. The chill of euphoria started to wane, and she lowered her head, swallowing as she looked over at the young man sitting at the other table.
"His skin is so smooth, so richly pale and creamy, with nary a blemish on his finely sculpted features. And those gray eyes are like storm clouds seeking to eat me up and draw me into the dark abyss that is Stubby Boardman. And what a baby face! And his figure is so supple, so sexy. Those fingers are so slim when he plays the keyboard. He's everything a girl can dream of."
"Why are you laughing, Doris?"
"Huh?" Doris blinked, her eye looking at her fellow Hufflepuff.
"Your laugh," the other girl said, sitting down so she could pull out her textbooks. "It's really weird, you know."
"Uh-huh," she turned her head to look at Boardman, a small amount of drool gathering in her mouth as she imagined in her head that boyish figure of his ravaging her. As she let out a sigh.
The person paused, turning to look in the direction that Doris did. "Why are you staring at Black like that?"
"Black?"
"You know. The Pureblood prick who'll never have anything to do with us, Muggleborn," the other girl said, shaking her head. "I mean, I do admit that he's quite handsome, and he's a proper gentleman, unlike...." The other person paused. "And aren't you dating Stubby Boardman?"
"Yes," Doris let out a sniffle, her eyes still trained on the boy she actually wasn't dating.
"Sure you are," the other girl said. "Looking at Black as if he were a piece of meat."
"I really am dating him!" Doris protested.
"Sure. And you've never introduced your boyfriend to anyone. Despite, you know, your claims that the two of you are such lovey-dovey turtle doves, right?"
"Well, you know why," Doris said, making things up in her head. "He keeps his identity secret." And then she murmured, daydreaming again of her personal wet dream instead of focusing on her doing her school work.
"Good grief," her fellow Hufflepuff said. "Is it no wonder our house has a bad rep? What with you acting like a complete ditz?"
"Pardon?"
"Is the only thing you care about, Stubby Boardman?"
"Of course, he and I will get married one day! We're such lovey-dovey turtle doves!" She said. "He even calls me his little turtle dove."
"Whatever you say," the other girl said, sighing. "And stop staring at Black. You'll draw unwanted attention from Slytherin if you keep it up."
"Why?"
"Because Black is in Slytherin?"
"No. Black is in Gryffindor."
"Sirius Black is in Gryffindor," the other Hufflepuff said. "His brother is in Slytherin."
"So his brother will come and bully us?"
"Why do I even try?" the girl said. "I mean, you do know there's a way to tell which house someone is from?"
"Well, of course," Doris rolled her eyes. "I'm not that stupid."
"Wow. Are you that focused on Black's face?" the other girl asked. "I thought Boardman was your boyfriend."
"He is."
"And you're staring at Black still?"
"The fact you're so oblivious is hilarious," Doris said. "And I'm not telling you that Sirius Black and Stubby Boardman are the same person because it's Stubby and my secret!"
