Chapter 2: "Oppa, Don't Say that !"

           As I open my eyes, I found myself standing by the seashore. 

The sea was really calm and the sand was complimenting the shore with it's white and crystal color. I shifted my gaze from left to right, wondering how I got here.

          As I averted my gaze behind, I saw a back of a man standing a little bit far away from me.. The wind suddenly blew so heavy that some particles of the sand went inside my eye and I can barely see who that man is, but my heart, my heart started to beat faster than usual. 

I know that there is something about this man.. Could that be him ? I know it's him. My heart tells me that it's him.  

Little by little, I took steps towards him..

As I leave footprints in the sand..

My knees started to tremble, 

 Just when I was just about 10 inches from this man, I hurriedly ran to him and didn't hesitate to back hug him..

The man was taken aback by my action, he faced me and...

and...

It was really him! 

Joon Myun.

His eyes rounded in shock, he hugged me back tightly and kissed my temple..

Due to my yearning, tears started to roll down my cheeks as I buried my face in his chest..

His arms wrapping my waist became so tight , it felt like time stopped from ticking..

I felt the beating of his heartbeat and cherished every moment with him..

Just when my eyes felt like there were no tears to drop anymore, I finally pulled my head away from him and that made him unwrapped his arms to my waist.

He looked at my face and wiped my tears..

"Don't cry.. um?"

   He asked.

I forced a smile.

We started to walk by the seashore while holding hands. 

I looked at his face.. His soft and kind face.

"Hyo Jin ah, did you know that if you lend your hand to someone, that also means that you're entrusting your life to them?" He asked me with a smile on his face..

"Mm.. Oppa, you told me that for like thousand times now.." I nodded and giggled..

We then stop by the bench and sat. 

He laid his head on my shoulders and closed his eyes..

"Oppa, can I ask you a question?" I asked him making him tilt his head to face me..

"What is it?"

"Oppa, why... Why did you leave me?" 

I asked him trying not to break a tear while expecting for his answer. 

But he didn't give me any.. 

He just smiled and kissed my forehead..

"Oppa, wae?! ..wae?!?!.. Answer me, oppa !" I nagged and pushed him away.

"I'm sorry, Hyo-Jin.." he muttered with a hopeless and sad tone as he ducked his head down..

"Oppa, just answer me.. Whatever you're answer will be, I'll try to accept it.. Did you know how much it hurts when they told me that you already have another?" 

"Do you even know how much it hurts?!"

"Oppa, answer me ! I'm tired of hearing others, I'll only listen to you .."

            I whimpered as I waited for a response, but he remained silent.

"Does silence means yes?"

 "Oppa, is it really true?"   

"Did.You.....Really.Leave. Me?"

        I can see the expression drawn in his eyes, it shows sadness and hopeless emotions.. 

"Hyo Jin, listen.. Whatever happens, I want you to be strong, with or without me. Please promise me that you'll stay strong.. Promise me that you won't cry .. mm?" 

He asked me, as he tilted my head and leaned closer.. 

Then he broke a tear..

"Oppa, why are saying these words to me?" 

        I asked him as I continued whimpering..

"Just.. promise me.." 

               "I..can..t"

"Close your eyes.."  he told me..

                      "Oppa, please don't leave me.. Oppa,don't go ! I will go crazy If you do.. Please.."

I cried.

"Close your eyes, Hyo Jin.."

                  "Op-p..a.. Don..t"

He covered my eyes with his hands..

As I gradually close my eyes, I heard him uttering those hurtful word.. "I'm sorry.."

Upon hearing this.. I immediately opened my eyes...

And found him walking away from me..
