A great white fluffy blanket of peace,
Muffling the rustling leaves,
Concealing all life on earth.
From the warmth of my bedroom,
With a hot mug of tea in my hands,
I take in the profound silence.
The first snowfall of the year,
Is like a blank canvas for new beginnings.
