Casey is such a bubbly girl who always wears a mask. A mask that has a deep meaning. She's so good at hiding her pain that no one notices it. "Who is this another girl Lorenzo?" said her mother. "You shouldn't care about that, Kat", her dad answered. "My gosh Lorenzo, we have a daughter and you still kept on cheating on me," her mother said. "Because I don't love you anymore we should stop this marriage" her dad answered. Casey's listening to them while sobbing; she can't do anything about it. Casey's Dad is her first heartbreak. After the divorce of her parents, each of them had already had their own family and she felt like she was left alone. She lived with her mom and she noticed that her mom had different treatment than her and her step-siblings. She felt like nobody wanted her and loved her, so she was very thirsty to find someone who could treat her with care and love. Casey studied at University of Santo Tomas and she has her best friend who always got her back. Both Jane and Mill are her best friends. Both of them treated Casey with love and care, but Casey felt like she needed more. Both her best friends had already found their partners. Sometimes she thinks that she also wants a boyfriend. One time at a coffee shop, Casey saw a handsome boy laughing with his friends. The boy noticed her watching them, so he went to her and asked for her name. "Hi, I'm Zayn and I noticed that you were watching us and I found you really cute, so can I ask for your name and what grade and strand, are you from, since I noticed that you are wearing an UST uniform and we have the same school" said the boy. Casey blushed and her lips formed into a smile. " I am Casey. I'm from ABM, a grade 12 student", she answered. They were having a chit-chat and then Casey noticed that it was almost evening, so she said "It is already late. I need to go home. It was nice talking to you Zayn". "It was nice talking to you as well. I hope we can talk more and I'll see you soon. Keep safe" he answered. When Casey went home she was very happy. Both of them talk all the time until they have already announced that they're in a relationship. Casey is very happy with their relationship because that is her first time she felt like she's on cloud nine. Their relationship was very smooth, not until she notices that Zayn is very distant noticed her. But she's fine with it because she thinks that he's just busy. " Cass, are you good with Zayn? " Jane asked. She seemed a little bit shy but still answered with "Yes we're still good, why are you asking? ". "I saw him at a Restaurant when we went with my family for dinner. " Jane replied. Casey's very shocked but still thinks that she's with his cousin. It happened every time but she kept blind about it because she was very afraid of being left away. Both of them agreed to meet at the M8 coffee shop where they first met. "Casey, we should stop this relationship", Zayn said. " No Zayn, we are both happy and I love you", she replied. Tears started falling from her eyes. " I already have someone else you can't see and I am tired of this relationship. You're so plain and boring" he said. " But I love you so much it's okay for me that you have another girl, just don't leave me please. Everyone has already left me. I don't want you to leave me", Casey replied while sobbing. " I don't care about you anymore", Zayn said, and left. Casey was there sitting and crying. When she went home she saw her mother with her other family happily eating. She looked away and hurriedly went to her room. She was crying and felt her heart shattered into pieces. Casey's very hurt that she thinks of hurting herself. When her friends found out about the break, they hurriedly went to her and made her feel better. After many months, she went out with her best friends. They went to Tagaytay and they talked about their life. They were very carefree and happy. Her friends made Casey realize that it is okay to vent out with your friends and your feelings are valid. " You should always remember that we've got each other's back," Milly said. "And if we go down, then we go down together. " Casey happily said. Casey realizes that she has friends who care for her and genuinely love her. Why would she settle for less when her friends treated her more than treat she could ask for. She learned that she should love herself first. Before loving someone, you should love yourself first or else you will only get hurt. Casey's already happy in her life and she's now very contented and day by day she's growing and learning a lot more in life. She graduated with an award. "Congrats love. I am very proud of you", Jane said. " Yes, finally we did it", Casey replied. The three of them hugged each other and they were very happy.
