Wednesday POV

Tyler.

I slowly backed away from the monster before me.

"Wednesday, it's me, Tyler..?" He awkwardly smiled.

I said nothing, but I think the look on my face said it all.

How did he escape?

My breathing got heavier as the pictures replayed in my mind, one by one.

Without thinking, I started to run, knowing he probably couldn't chase after me in fear of being caught.

I ran through the door of the coffee shop, Xavier was working.

I stood in front of the door, catching my breath.

"Wednesday?" Xavier asked from behind the counter.

"Tyler's.. out there."

"What..?" He asked, slowly walking up to me.

"He's- he's here.. in town.." I said shakily.

"How did he get out..?" Xavier asked, slowly directing me towards a booth.

"How should I know? But what I do know is that he needs to be found." I said, going back to my usual monotone voice.

"W-Well shouldn't we report him to the sheriff?" He asked, slightly panicking.

"It's no use, he says I can't work on cases anymore. Looks like we'll have to take matters into our own hands."

"Uh.. 'we'?"

A few seconds of silence pass by.

"Fine. Looks like it's a one detective case then." I said, getting up and grabbing onto my bag strap.

"Wednesday-" I cut Xavier off by closing the door.

He's out here somewhere, and I need to know where.

I made my way back to campus, cautious of every step I took.

Left, right, left..

I walked fast and tried not to go in too many dark alleyways, but unfortunately for me I had to go through one to get back.

I took a deep breath and walked through, it was one of the alleyways with graffiti and probably drug dealers.

"Thing, if anything goes wrong, go to Enid." I whispered to Thing, who was in my bag.

He gave two taps from the inside of my bag, indicating 'okay'.

It was quite a long walk, but I just tried my hardest to speed through it.

Until a hand gripped my arm from behind.

Without hesitating I tried to get away, before even getting a chance to look at the potential kidnapper.

A hand slapped over my mouth, with a rag that I assume has chloroform.

My suspicions seem to be right, as my breathing.. gets.. slower.. and my vision.. starts.. to.. fade..
