The Meeting

America's POV (this whole chapter will be his pov)

               I woke up to the sound of my alarm ringing loudly in my ear. I groaned at the thought of having to wake up. I looked at the time and it read '5:20am' and I sighed. I had gone to sleep around 3:00am; it's more sleep than I usually get. 

               'You gotta get up at some point Ame, if you're late for todays meeting UN will give you at least a 2 hour long, goddamn lecture after the meeting.' I heard Confetti (Confederate) say. I laughed a bit.

               "I know Confetti, don't rush me! " I said as his ghost popped up and his grey eyes looked like they glowed from the moonlight the poured in like a waterfall. "What are you doing here anyways, I thought you didn't care about me." I said in a small whisper so as not to wake up he kids.

              "I do care about you, I just gotta be rough sometimes." He said back in a calm, monotone morning voice. He muttered a swear word and said "I wish I could hug you because I know you need it." He always acted like an overprotective older brother, and I liked that he didn't hate me even though he fought a war with me at some point, and he should hate me.

               I got up and picked up my glasses that were on my nightstand. I could've sworn Dixie gave me a small smile before I placed my glasses on my face. I looked at my clock and it was already 5:35. 'It's only been 15 minutes, not a bad record I guess.' Confetti said in my head. I decided to ignore him and head downstairs. I heard a few of the older kids in the living room. 

                "Good mornin' Delaware, good mornin' Hampshire." Their heads turned in my direction and they smiled.

                "Good morning dad." They said in unison. Delaware was the oldest and was 30 years old. New Hampshire was close behind at 29 and a half. They continued their business after that and started arguing over who was a better brother. I guess I'm lucky to have at least two good kids.

                "Dad! Cali and Utah are on fire!" Texas said running in the room with Florida by his side.

                 "Shit- Uhm... Tex, get the fire extinguisher quickly! Which room are they in Florida."

                  "The kitchen. Also have you seen my alligator today? He isn't in his cage. Neither is Arizona's rattle snake." I gave him a look before hearing a scream.

                  "THE ALLIGATOR AND RATTLE SNAKE TEAMED UP! THE SNAKE IS RIDING THE GATOR! I REPEAT, THE SNAKE IS RIDING THE GATOR." Tary (Military) screamed from another room. Before I got any time to react Tex ran in with the fire extinguisher. 

                   "We'll take care of the fire dad, you can go get the gator and snake." It was probably Dela and Hampy.

                   "Alright, Texas, go get your lasso, Florida, help me try and calm Poncho (the alligator) down." I ran to the other room to see Tary and A.F. dodging an angry snake with an alligator. Florida ran up and distracted it as Tex gave me a lasso. I threw the lasso as hard as I possibly could and I got a perfect land around the gators mouth. I tugged and yanked on it till Poncho gave out. I looked for where the rattlesnake went only to get knocked on the ground by Poncho. Florida pulled on the lasso and led Poncho of off me. 

                    "Where did the snake go-" I muttered before hearing a rattle sound from behind. I slowly turned around in shock. "H-hey... nice snakey... don't lunge at me." I whispered in a low, terrified voice. Just as the snake tried to lunge at me Ari jumped on it and pinned it down.

                    "Illinois!?! Could you make breakfast?!? I'm a bit busy at the moment!!"

                    "Sure, dad!"

                     "Ughh... wait- I still have a meeting. WHAT TIME IS IT!?!" 

                    "6:25!" 'Oh god I'm going to be late! My meetings at 6:30.'

                    "Alright, 13 ORIGINAL! YOUR IN CHARGE! Gotta go to a meeting! Love you all, bye." I heard a couple of goodbye dad's as I slammed the door and rushed outside. 

Time skip by my lazy ass

                   I ran to the meeting room and opened the door. All eyes drew in my direction and UN gave me a 'your-late-and-you-better-have-a-good-reason' glare.

                     "Nice of you to join us America, now please sit down. I'll talk to you later." UN said with anger seeping through his voice. He continued his rant about Global Warming and I started to zone out. China and Japan were arguing over what they should be doing about Global Warming and how 'you don't even do anything about it,' and low and behold China lost his temper. There was a loud CRACK as China broke his chair after throwing it at Japan. No wonder China isn't the superpower. UN Yelled at them to sit down (even though China broke his chair) and 'stop all this foolish nonsense.' Sometimes I swear UN sounds so similar to my dad, I feel like dad has just corrupted him somehow. And all I did after that was go back to zoning out.

                      I was half asleep when the door of the office swung open and hit the wall loudly. Everyone looked that direction to see a child had come in.

                      "YEE-HAW! Howdy' ya'll! I'm Texas! Have any of you seen my dad anywhere?" I froze in pure shock as I saw his eyes scan the room. His eye found me, wearing my usual sunglasses with a suit and tie on. he immediately ran in my direction and jumped on me. "Pop's! Cali's on fire again and spread it to Utah, Last I saw Utah was running after Ari and Nevada. Florida's alligator got out, Ari's tarantulas are free in the house as well as her rattlesnake, Alabama shot Missi in the arm, Old Faithful kicked Wyoming in the chest, Tennessee is crying which is breaking everyone's hearts, Florida made Georgia jump off the roof and then he did as well, we can't find Hawaii, and Alaska was screaming Russian swear words at Ohio."

                      No one moved. Everyone including me were shocked at the chaos he had told of. 'Hahaha you got caught'  A familiar taunting voice said. 'Shut up C.S.A.' I said back in my thoughts. I remembered that my kids were in trouble and picked up Texas. 

                       "Sorry, but I have to go deal with something- Bye!!" I practically shouted as I bolted out the door to my car. 

Another time skip cause I don't feel like writing 2000 words...

                       I made it home and calmed everything down the best I could. Although I was still comforting Tennessee who was still crying over Wyoming getting kicked and Missi who got shot. (They were fine.)

                      "D-dad...? A-are you s-sure they're okay? *sniff sniff*" 

                      "I already told you Tenny, they're both okay, just a little shaken."

                       "Okay..."

                       I sighed knowing that I would get bombarded by questions at the next meeting. 

Okay, so I know this is pretty dumb but, it's my first countryhumans book, so don't blame me.

Anyways, I'll try to get in all the states names but I'm not sure I will be able to get all the country's. 

I'll try to make another chapter asap. Bye!
