He had five rules for surviving seventh grade. One, never trust anyone (other than Tubbo and maybe that skinny split-dyed hair one Tubbo hangs out with). Two, never eat the school lunch, EVER. Three, if someone asks to be your friend, they are using you, run away. Four, you aren't a tattletale if you scream at the top of your lungs anytime someone hits you, do that. Five, tell Wilbur and Techno if something seriously bothers you. They'll handle it. There were probably more, and his rules changed a lot, but the basics are to become a new person at school. Be a hermit at school. You can be anyone you want outside of school, you can be a loud, abrasive, funny kid, but at school? You're an introvert who talks to one or two people only. Who cares about grades? Tommy just cared about surviving. His grades weren't bad, he guessed. He had two A's, three B's, one C, and one D. For someone who's cheated off of his friends the whole year and hasn't paid any attention once, it was pretty good. He just had to dodge bullies, that's all that mattered. His brothers, Techno and Wilbur, who were twins, were in the same grade, eighth grade. Tommy was in seventh. A few kids in eighth grade bullied Tommy, so he told his brothers, and they 'set him straight.' One kid in their grade bullied him, so he told his older brothers. He didn't stop. It didn't matter how many teachers or brothers tried to intervene with him, he was pure evil. His name was Dream. Stupid name, if you ask Tommy, but whatever. He was a reasonably tall kid with dirty blonde hair. He was a dick. Tommy couldn't even walk down the hallway without getting kicked, pushed, or shoved. There were many insults, but he didn't like listening to them. He took those to heart, so he just didn't listen. There was a specific incident with Dream, though. He talked back to him and told him to leave him alone. That was stupid. He was going home with a bloody nose and split lip. He could taste metallic blood, eugh, and his face hurt and burned. He could feel the shape of each blood trail on his face. This was also one of the days his father wasn't picking him and his brothers up, so they had to walk. Woohoo. "Tommy?" He could spot Wilbur's voice from anywhere in the world, the most recognizable voice ever. Not actually, Techno's was more recognizable. You couldn't mistake him for anyone else. Once Wilbur got close enough to actually see his face and what happened, he ran. "Tommy! What the hell happened? What did you do? Are you okay?" He had Tommy's face in his hands. He asked nearly a hundred questions per second, dear lord, Tommy was fine, couldn't he see that? Well- He knew it looked bad, but it really wasn't. "Calm, Wilbur, give him a chance to speak." Techno finally caught up to Wilbur, he didn't run at the speed of light as Wilbur did. He set his hand on Wilbur's shoulder and slowly pried him away from Tommy's face. With Techno's monotone voice and unamused expression, most people would think he just didn't care about Tommy, but he could tell behind his words and voice that he was worried. "You okay, Theseus?" Techno used Tommy's favorite nickname. "The thought behind it hurt more than the actual punches." He shrugged. Wilbur's eyebrows furrowed and he bent back down to grab Tommy's shoulders, "Who was it? I'll kill them." He said. Tommy would take it as a joke, but Wilbur was dead serious. "Wilbur, we don't even know the full story," Techno started with a sigh, "Can we walk home and then let Tommy tell the story? It's cold." He finished. Wilbur turned and shot him a glare, but he let go of Tommy's shoulders and did as Techno asked. Wilbur grabbed Tommy's hand and pulled him along behind him. Techno walked up to Tommy, put his hand on his shoulder, and gave him a small smile before taking his usual spot next to Wilbur.
