A Shadow's Diamond

Chapter 5

Diamond can't believe her eyes; Shadow is before her after all this time. She was sure that he died because she has heard about the Ark exploding. She watches Shadow fight Infinite until she notices that Infinite sends Shadow back into Silver.

Infinite floats towards Diamond, "I would bring you to Eggman, but that would be a waste of what you can really do."

Diamond shakes her head and glares at Infinite, "I am not going with you!"

"I don't need you to come with me. That would spoil the fun in things. I would leave you alone for now, but I won't count on your days being numbered." Infinite says.

Diamond says annoyed, "Great."

Infinite disappears while Diamond turns over to see Shadow getting off Silver and dusting himself off. Disgusted already that he has to deal with a loss to the jackal.

Diamond looks at Silver and Shadow. She isn't sure on what to say to her old friend. It has been so long, and she feels like crying because she thought that Shadow has died. She approaches Shadow as she notices that he is becoming confused as to why she is approaching him. Gerald might have removed his earlier memories. She begins to back up as she brings her hands in front of her, "Thank you for helping me."

Silver smiles at Diamond, "No problem."

Diamond looks at Shadow to see that he is looking away. She looks down before looking up, "Would you like to talk?"

Shadow turns his gaze onto her before looking away.

"Shadow doesn't usually talk about his past." Silver says.

Diamond nods, "I understand." She looks away from Shadow as her gaze lands onto Silver, "I am guessing that you guys are looking for me as well?"

Silver nods, "That is correct. You see our friend's machine has been glowing weird and it soon picked up onto you."

"That's weird. I guess that it must be picking up on plasma energy."

"Plasma energy?" Silver raises an eyebrow.

Diamond nods, "Plasma energy is what my body radiates. I would like to go more into detail with you, but not without my girls."

Silver smiles wide, "Well let's go get them!"

Diamond smiles back at Silver, "Alright."

Ray pulls onto the rope that is wrapped around Scourge. Her right leg is on his back as she pulls on the rope. She turns over to Olympia, "Thanks to you for having this rope, no one else will be getting hurt."

"Of course!" Olympia smiles.

Diamond walks up to Ray and Olympia with Silver and Shadow following her. She smiles at her friends, "I see that you 2 took care of him."

"Well mostly, Ray." Olympia states.

Ray puts her hands onto her hips, "He wasn't much of a big deal."

Diamond nods, "I have news for you girls."

"That is?" Ray raises an eyebrow

"I am going to join Silver and Shadow." Diamond looks between her friends.

Ray and Olympia look at each other before looking back at Diamond. Olympia shrugs and walks over to Diamond and hugs her while Ray removes her foot and stands still. She doesn't entirely trust Silver or Shadow due to the fact that she never heard of them before. She crosses her arms and says, "We will join, but only to make sure that those 2 don't hurt you."

Diamond claps her hands together and smiles wider, "I knew that I could count on you 2!"

"Only this time that we will be trusting strangers, anymore and they will end up like green eggs here." Ray glares at Scourge.

Scourge glares back at Ray before he got kicked in the face.
