The next few hours went by pretty slowly. No one said a word to each other. Their was a constant awkward tension between all of them. Cross even did the chores to avoid talking to anyone. Everyone just stayed in their rooms the rest of the day. Eventually Error left to go hang out with Gradient and PJ. Near the end of the day, they heard the meeting bell being rung. Only NIghtmare could ring that bell. That meant everyone who was their had to meet in the living room for some 'important reason.' Killer sighed, getting up from his bed and walking into the living room. He was somehow the last one their though he got up pretty fast.

He sat down next to Cross on the couch while dust sat in front of him and Horror sat on the other side of him. "Alright, why'd you call us here?" Horror asked, getting comfortable. "I've called you all here because since the event of this morning, there's been an awful negative energy. And not the good kind. I feel like we need to discuss some of your thoughts so that this stuffiness leaves. It is rather annoying to deal with." Nightmare spoke up, pacing back and forth in front of them.

"Well, I don't know about these idiots, but getting kidnapped and bearly being saved puts you in a pretty gloomy mood." Horror said, sitting up some. Nightmare sighed. "We all know good well that that's not it," He started, looking at them all deeply. "I know Dream asked me a few questions, mostly relating to my past, which we all know a few people here have been getting into a little bit recently. Though I know most of you already know my past, I don't feel like sharing the whole story right now. I did notice that none of that really hurt y'all. I got the most negative energy from one certain question. Anyone wanna speak up and guess what it was?" He asked. Killer looked away, gulping.

"No? Fine. It was when he asked if I considered y'all friends. My response was no. Now does anyone wanna speak up?" Killer sighed. "I knew the answer, it just stung to hear out loud I suppose." He muttered. Nightmare sighed and sat down. "Same. Like, we talk and have tons of fun together. I know we work for you but it's hard to believe we're not at least friends. Doesn't even have to be best friends. Just more than acquaintances." Dust spoke up. "Really guys? Come on, stop being such wimps. It's Nightmare we're talking about." Horror grumbled, looking at the two beside him.

"I had a reason for my vague answer. This is gonna sound cheezy as fuck but I dont consder you all 'friends'. More of a family. We're like the family none of us really ever had. When we all get together and play games, it's like a family game night. When we all get together and watch a movie, family movie night. Heck, sometimes y'all even call me papa nightmare. Joke or not, we're more like a family than any of us ever had. Get it now?" He said, standing up. Everyone sat shocked. "So no, we're not friends. I just didn't venture too far into my answer so as to not sound cheesy like I am right now."

Their was silence. An awkward silence, then Dust spoke. "Well, now that you've explained it, I guess we are like a big group rather than a group of friends and co-workers....and we do call you papa Nightmare sometimes, even if you hate it.... And we all do act like siblings with how much we fight and talk....." Killer grinned. "Well, that explains a lot. But that doesn't explain why you said you despised Dream." Nightmare sighed. "I do suppose I owe you all a story, but not right now. Now that most of this tension is gone, I've got plans against Dream I've gotta go make." He said, sitting up. "Alright, by Papa Nighy." Horror mocked, chuckling. Everyone laughed as Nightmare glared at him.
