Gods are all ideas until you see one in a cave.
God's could only create outcomes for worlds in which they were given jurisdiction over. However, Ikarus was in a world he used to govern before he was cast out. He knew what this meant more than anyone else. His outcome was already determined.
Pulitzer. Mael. Ying. Was a god that was that very close with Ikarus thus why he was summoned. He wasn't the god that created the outcome for Ikarus but he watched over the situation before he was summoned. "I hope you know this was caused by you, if only you'd shut up."
"Does it end here?" Ikarus looked at Pulitzer as Ivan danced.
"I don't know, I'm not the one in charge of your fate. However, this boy is set on a path that ends you." Pulitzer looked at Ivan who danced in a corner. "You just needed one more soul. It's almost comical."
Karma is divine punishment, you will die the same way you lived. This was also used by Ikarus when creating punishments for breaking the contract. How ironic.
"Lucky you, Fenrir is overlooking your case."
"What are the odds of him creating a meteor that falls into the cave."
"I doubt that would happen." Pulitzer looked at Ivan, he knew exactly what the human wanted to wish for and there was no way of stopping it.
Thunder shattered the eardrums of living creatures, bringing sound to the night and the lightning that followed was simply marvelous. There was a storm outside and although the storm signified the arrival of Ikarus, it might also signify his end.
"I want a wish." Ivan looked at Pulitzer, "I assume you already know what I want to wish for."
"Your wish cannot be easily granted, ending a life greater than yours will not come cheap."
"Give me the choices."
"Using that same knife, end the life of Yuliana or end your own life." Pulitzer was trying to stall for time, the wounds Ivan had weren't minor but for some reason the man hadn't fallen.
"I'll take my own life, how am I sure that my wish will be granted?"
"I will grant your wish, I'm a god of my word."
In the heavenly realm, the gods of outcome looked over the humans and whatever other species that needed their observation. They were linked with the gods of cause, they created a cause and the gods of outcome an effect.
"I wish that the choosing god Ikarus is vanquished." Ivan looked into the green orbs that floated in Pulitzer's chest.
"It is done." Pulitzer nodded.
"I guess not even Morphines can stop this from hurting," Using his left hand Ikarus stabbed his heart and fell to the ground, blood gushed out of his mouth and Pulitzer could confirm. He was indeed dead.
"I guess this is the end of the road for me, my anger caused me to rant to Phillip about my predicament. I put myself in this bind."
"The human was smart, would have liked to see him live on but it's a life for a life." The green orbs in the middle of Pulitzer's chest turned grey and the body of Ikarus started turning to dust.
"A broken god can never be fixed, not even the primordial deity would've fixed you completely."
"That was a thought in the back of my head, at some point. I just wanted to murder." Ikarus's body had faded to dust that blew through the exit and into the skies.
"So that's the end of Deus, what a pitiful sight." A voice said and Pulitzer's body faded away, going back to the heavenly realm.
"It's finally over," Yuliana had woken up along with the hundreds of other people stored in the cave, she hugged Ivan and kissed his forehead. Tears rolled down her cheeks but she knew this wasn't what he would've wanted. "Thank you, Ivan."
Most of the people in the cave had their brains turned to mush, they forgot how to do basic human functions. Some even lost touch with their humanity and never woke up but at least the being that was responsible for all their suffering was no more.
"Thank you, Ivan." Tears rolled down her eyes as people passed her, walking toward the exits.
