Chapter 44: Tip Off

I stared out the window of the bus, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I felt like this was not normal for us to be acting this way on the bus, none the less. As it was that I knew that it was usually full of chatter, never the less.
How ever, that just seemed to not be the case at all what so ever just now, none the less. As it was clear that every one seemed to be thinking the same thing that it was that I seemed to be. As to the fact that as to just how important these next few moments, all at the exact same time too, were about to be.
I did in fact just seem to breathe in a bit of a rough sigh to my self, at that. As it was that I seemed to close my eyes, as it was that the bus seemed to stop, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I then began to speak to my self a little bit under my own breathe.
"It doesn't matter... None of it does... Just try your best..." I said to my self, none the less. As it was that it was what it was that my mother had used to say to me, at that. When it was that I had been really young, and she had not realized that basketball was my goal in life.
It kind of felt stupid saying as such a thing like that just now, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I kind of just smirked, as to just how cringy it was of course. As I just then did in fact just seem to all of the sudden go right on ahead, at that.
And I then did in fact just seem to open my eyes, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I then did in fact just seem to hear the loud voice of Xavier, all at the exact eeme time too. As it was clear that he was in fact speaking to every one in here, from the front of the bus.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to get my eyes on him. I then did in fact just seem to let out a bit of a rough sigh to my self. As I then began to start to listen as to just what it was that he felt like he needed to say to us all, of course.
"Alright boys... When or lose... I want to see every one give it their all... This could be the last time, the last game for a lot of you guys..." He said, as it was that he did in fact just seem to squint his eyes, at that. As it was that he seemed to look all across the bus, none the less.
As it was clear that he was not putting out any sort of names what so ever just now. Which I was okay with, none the less, at that. As it was the last thing that it was that we needed to deal with just now.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to all of the sudden just see Pearce at the front him self. He did in fact just seem to start to step up and speak him self. As I too once again began to start to listen as to just what exactly it was that he felt like he must say in the very first place any ways.
"Together on 3! 1! 2! 3! Together!" He said, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As he did in fact just seem to have his fist held high up in the air as soon as it was that he had said that. As it was that we all did in fact join him in what it was that he had in fact yelled out loud.
As soon as it was that he had said as to just what it was that he had said all of the sudden. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to see the bus doors open. As it was that Xavier did in fact just seem to start to hop off of the bus. As Pearce was in fact quick to follow him, as well.
As it was that I seemed to simply just stand there and stare with my eyes wide for some time. I then eventually began to start to hear the voice of my friend Brandon. As it was that he seemed to speak to me from right beside me of course.
I turned my head on over towards him, all at the exact same time too. My eyes still wide as I did as such a thing like that. As I then began to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he must say just now, all at the exact same time too.
"You coming? Or you sitting this one out too?" He said to me, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to breathe in quite a bit to my self. Just as soon as it was that he had in fact said what he had said to me.
I did not appreciate as to the fact that it was that he was mocking me. Even if it was that I knew that he was simply only doing it in good humour. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to roll my eyes at him, all at the exact same time as well.
As I then did in fact just seem to get my self up from off of my seat, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to follow my friend, at that. As it was that we did in fact just seem to head to the front of the bus, to exit the bus.
As it was that we had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that. I did in fact just seem to dip my head a little bit low to the ground, at that. As I once again seemed to speak to my self under my breathe, all at the exact same time too.
"God... I'm such a terrible leader..." I said to my self, all at the exact same time as well. As it was that I felt a bit bad as to just what it was that I had said just now. Just due to the fact that I had simply been lost in my thoughts long before now.
I then did in fact just seem to shake off all of those thoughts, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to walk off the bus with some more positive energy. As it was that I did in fact sure feel a whole lot better as it was that I seemed to feel that way.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to get my eyes back on Xavier, at that. As it was that he once again seemed to be speaking to the whole team again. As it was that I the began to start to listen as to just what exactly it was that he felt like he must say just now, at that.
"Alright every one... Are you guys ready to rock? Who's ready to do the impossible? The unthinkable?" He said, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he did in fact just seem to have a big smile on his face, all at the exact same time too.
Just as soon as it was that he had in fact said as to just what he had said, none the less. As it was that it was what we had heard around the school all day of course. As well as the fact that it was what we had in fact seen on the news, as well, at that.
As it was that I did in fact just seem to stand there and stare for just a little bit more time. I simply then did in fact just seem to start to step up in front of evety one, at that. As I then did in fact just seem to start to speak to them with a big smile on my face.
As it was that I had done as such a thing like that, all at once. I saw that all of my team mates did in fact just seem to turn their heads on over to me. As it was it was clear that they were all listening as to just what exactly it was that I felt like I must say to them, all at the exact same time too.
"Let's go boys!" I said, as it was that I then did in fact just seem to nod to Xavier, at that. To let him know that he as the coach did in fact need to take the lead in to the DePaul stadium, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I did in fact just seem to stand there and stare with a smile on my face, still. Just as soon as it was that I had said as to just what it was that I had said. As it was that I saw that Xavier did in fact happily do as to just what it was that I had in fact been implying.
As it was that I seemed to see him go right on ahead and walk right through the front doors. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to see the guards at the front. Just seem to stop him for what ever reason or another, at that.
As it was that I seemed to realize that it was in fact the case. I then heard the bigger guard begin to start to step up and speak to Xavier, at that. As I then began to start to listen as to just what ever the guy felt like he must say just now, of course.
"Halt! Team name!" He said, all at the exact same time too, at that. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to stand there and stare at the guy. As it was that he seemed to be some sort of idiot, none the less. As to the fact that he could not clearly see it on all of our jerseys, at that.
As it was that I just seemed to stare at the guy with my eyes wide, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should do my self. I then luckily did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Xavier.
As it was that he did in fact just seem to start to speak back to the guard in a calm voice, at that. As it was that I still seemed to stand there and stare with my eyes wide. As it was that I then began to start to listen as to just what he had to say just now.
"North Side Eagles, and I am Xavier Davidson..." He said to the man, all at the exact same time too. As it was that the man then did in fact just seem to stare down at his list. As it was that he had in fact said as to just what he had said to the man.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there and stared for just a little bit more time my self. Eventually the man then did in fact just seem to lift his head up, at that. As his eyes were in fact a bit wide, as he seemed to be a little bit surprised for what ever reason or another.
As it was that I did in fact just seem to stand there and stare for just a little bit more time. I eventually in the end, all at the exact same time too. I then began to hear the man's voice, as he began to atatt to speak back to Xavier, all at once, at that.
I just seemed to simply stand there and stare my self. Still not sure what was exactly going on, never the less. As I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what it was that he had to say, all at the exact same time as well, at that.
"Oh! Your brother was a legend! Proud to be at your service! Go right on ahead!" He said, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I was in fact a bit surprised as to the way that the man had said that. As it was quite a bit unusual for some one to seem to treat Xavier that way.
I kind of just seemed to stand there and stare for just a little bit more time of course, at that. As it was that I was not all too sure as to just what it was that I should exactly do or say my self, none the less. As I then did in fact begin to start to suddenly see that Xavier too seemed to be surprised.
How ever, in the end, he did in fact just seem to act humble, at that. As it was that he then did in fact just seem to nod back to the man, all at the exact same time too, at that. As he then did in fact begin to also speak back to the man, all at once.
As it was that I did in fact just seem to start to realize that it was in fact the case, at that. That was when it was that I just then did in fact begin to go right on ahead. And I then began to start to listen as to just what it was that Xavier needed to say back to the guy, never the less.
"Thank you... It is much appreciated..." He seemed to say. As it was all that it was that he felt like he had in fact needed to say, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at once.
And I then did in fact just seem to see that Xavier then did in fact just seem to pass on ahead. As it was that the guard did in fact just seem to nod to us all, just as it was that we had done the same, all at once. As I simply did in fact not seem to look at the guard what so ever just now, at that.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to follow along with where it was that every one else was going. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to hear the voice of Steve, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he then did in fact just seem to start to speak up out loud to all of us.
As it was that I seemed to realize that it was the case my self, of course. I then did in fact just seem to start to turn my head on over to him. As I then began to listen as to just what exactly it was that he felt like he must say, all at the exact same time too.
"What the hell was that about... That was weird..." He said, as it was that he seemed to have no idea as to just what it was that was going on. As it was that I really felt like it was that I could not blame him. As he had not been there at the beginning of the year, to hear Xavier's story.
As it was that I did in fact just seem to stand there and stare for just a little bit more time. I eventually did in fact just seem to start to go right on ahead, all at once. And I then did in fact just seem to let out a little bit of a rough sigh to my self, at that.
How ever, it seemed like it was that Zaire did in fact not seem to be as soft on him as I was. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to start to hear his voice, at that. As he just then did in fact just seem to all of the sudden start to speak right back on over towards Steve, all at the exact same time too.
"Man... You have no idea what college hoops means to a lot of people, huh?" He said to Steve, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he did in fact not seem to be upset at him at the very least. As much as it was that he seemed to be acting like it was that Steve was an idiot.
Which at times, I knew that Steve did in fact just seem to act very stupid, all at the exact same time too. How ever, that was not really the case this time as far as I could tell. As it was that it seemed to be a lot more of the fact that he just did not know the story.
Steve just seemed to stand there and stare for just a little bit more time, all at once. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear the voice of Austin. As it was that he just then did in fact just seem to start to step up and speak, all at the exact same time as well, him self.
As it was that I just seemed to realize that it was the case. I then did in fact just seem to start to turn my head right on over to Austin. As I then began to start to listen as to just what exactly it was that he felt like he must say just now, at that.
"Yeah... Xavier's brother was killed in a gang shooting man... His brother was a college star for DePaul..." He said to Steve, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As it was that it then did in fact just seem to click in the head of Steve, all of the sudden, at that.
Xavier seemed to turn his head on over to Austin, just as it was that he had said what he had said. As I knew that it was a hard thing for Xavier, never the less. Every time it did in fact seem like it was in fact brought up, none the less.
As I just seemed to simply stare at Xavier my self for a few seconds. As it was that he then did in fact just seem to start to speak back to the both of the guys. As I then began to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he must say in the very first place any ways.
"Alright... Enough of that... Let's just focus on the game..." He said, as it was that he had a bit of a blank look on his face. As well as a bit of a blank voice as it was that he had said what it was that he had said. As it was clear that he also was in fact bringing up a fair point, none the less.
As it was that he did in fact just seem to stand there and stare at every one for a bit more time. That was when it was that every one then eventually did in fact not back to him. As it was that they then all began to start to follow him, as it was that he then continued to lead on ahead.
As it was that I did the same thing that it was that every one else seemed to be doing. That was when it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Brandon. As it was that he just then did in fact just seem to speak to every one, all at once.
As it was that it did in fact just seem to be the case. I, along with with every one else that was in the team. Did in fact look at Brandon, as we all began to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he must say him self, all at the exact same time too.
"We've got this guys... Just put our all in to this... They won't see us coming..." He said, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As it was that I then did in fact just seem to smile as to just what it was that he had said. As it was that he did in fact seem to have a little bit of a fair point of course.
Though, as I had seen on the high lights, I was pretty sure that every kid on that team was better than our best player, none the less. As it was that I just seemed to shiver at those thoughts, all at once. As I then did in fact begin to start to hear a loud voice that was not one of our team mates, begin to start to speak up.
As it was that I then began to start to realize that it was the case. I then turned my head to the son of the other team, all at the exact same time too. As it was in fact Haven, all at the exact same time too.
I did in fact just seem to start to let out a bit of a rough sigh to my self. As I then did in fact begin to start to go right on ahead. And I then began to start to listen as to just what ever it was that the guy felt like he must say in the very first place any ways.
"Oh... We see it coming... Maybe you could score off of some free throws... We are gonna beat the bricks off of you... Quite literally..." He said, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I knew that the guy was in fact an idiot, none the less.
As it was that what it was that he had said at the end had in fact made no sense what so ever. As it was that if it was that they were going to beat the bricks off of us. Than it would mean that we were in fact going to be making our shots.
I kind of just shook my head a little bit to my self, all at once. As it was that I just then did in fact begin to start to hear the voice of Braxton, all at the exact same time too. As it was that he just then did in fact just seem to start to talk back to the idiot.
As it was that I began to realize that it was in fact the case of course. I then did in fact just seem to turn my head right on over to Braxton. As I then began to start to listen as to just what it was that he felt like he must say, all at the exact same time too.
"Alright buddy... Good for you... Nobody gives a shit... Focus on your own team..." He said back to Haven. As it was that he was in fact trying to calm us all down. As it was that he could tell that there was a lot of tension between us and the other team.
As it was that I did in fact just seem to simply look away from Braxton all of the sudden. As I then did in fact just seem to start to hear the voice of Haven once again. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to turn my head on over to that ass hole in stead.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have done as such a thing like that, all at once. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to look at the kid. And I then began start to listen as to just what ever the hell he felt like he must say just now, all at the exact same time too.
"Yeah... You should be worried..." He said, all at the exact same time as well, at that. As it was that he seemed to completely dodge what it was that Braxton had said. As it was that it seemed to make no such sort of sense as to the response that he had in fact just had, at that.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to have stood there and stared for just a little bit more time. That was when it was that I just then did in fact just seem to hear another voice. As it was the voice of Pearce, all at the exact same time too.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to let out a rough sigh to my self, at that. As I then did in fact just seem to start to look on over to Pearce. As I then began to listen as to just what it was that he felt like he must say, all at the exact same time as well.
"Like we said... Nobody cares... And I hope you don't slip on your 10k Jordans like you did last time... You get that from your daddy?" He said, as it was that he did in fact just seem to have a big smile on his face. Just as soon as it was that he had said what it was that he had said.
As it was that I had in fact just seemed to stare at Pearce. I kind of grunted a little bit as well. As it was that it seemed like he was only fueling the fire between the 2 teams, at that.
I really did in fact feel like I did in fact not want to deal with it, all at the exact same time too. As it was that I just seemed to try to look away, all at the exact same time too. Until it was that I just then did in fact just seem to hear the voice of the coach of the other team seem to begin to speak.
As it was that I seemed to start to realize that it was the case. That was when it was that I then looked at the guy with my eyes squinted. As I then did in fact begin to start to listen as to just what ever it was that he felt like he must say in response.
"Yeah... His dad was a hard working man that got it for him... And he is the same way... Where is your stuff? You don't seem that hard working..." He said, as it was that it was kind of weak of the man. For the fact that it was that he was going after a kid from the streets for not having expensive drip, at that.
I kind of just seemed to feel the tension rise just as soon as it was that he had said what he had said. As it was that I saw that Pearce then did in fact just seem to ball up his fist. As it was clear that it was that he was in fact tempted to go after the man for what he had said, at that.
As the both of us knew that Pearce was in fact plenty hard working. He just simply did his best to try to keep him self calm, at that. As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to look away from him, all at the exact same time too, at that.
As it was that I just then did in fact just seem to start to hear the voice of the guy that every one had been waiting for, at that. As it was Andrew Crane, who was the number 1 prospect in the nation, as well. As we all then began to start to listen as to just what ever it was that the kid did in fact feel like he must say just now.
"Every one relax... Let's all just go to our locker rooms... Let's save this for when we are on the court..." He seemed to say, as it was that I saw that he had his eyes squinted at Pearce. And he also did in fact have his eyes squinted at his coach, at that.
As even though it was that he was in fact good friends with Haven. It was also clear to me that he did not like his coach what so ever. As it was that I just seemed to let out a little bit of a soft sigh of some sort of relief to my self, at that.
As it was that the other team then did in fact just seem to walk past us with big smirks on their faces. As if we were in fact some sort of scum of the earth, at that. As it was that I just simply did my best to try to ignore them all, of course, at that.
As it was that I then did in fact just seem to once again follow Xavier. As it was that he was in fact taking us to our locker room, all at the exact same time too, at that. As I then began to start to also speak to my self a little bit under my own breathe, as I did as such a thing like that.
"Let's just leave it for tip off..."
