Silver Falls, Vermont USA. Pretty little name for a pretty little town, especially in Vermont, right? Well, let me warn you appearances can be deceiving, and the name of the town and its appearance may fool the best of us. Quaint is a word that is only applied to the outer surface of our sleepy town, it is anything but the picture of innocence. Many wise men and women have been fooled, lulled into a false sense of security by the elegant innocence of this town. You're wondering what the fuss is about; let me tell you, let me show you what lies deeper within the shadows and innocence of this town. First, though we need to go back in time to where it all started...a 100-years ago.
A hundred years ago Silver Falls did not possess the angelic and supernatural beauty that draws so many to it like the magnetic pull of a black hole, Silver Falls was in shambles, unkempt and unruly. The surrounding forest has claimed the land, the people did not want such an abandoned and ruined place, so they left it untouched. They turned their backs on it and so seeing it unclaimed creatures emerged from the dark. Creatures of the night as we mere mortals call them and they build an entire town out of these ruins, with the forest that once ruled it now acting as a protective barrier surrounding this magnificent town that was built from chaos and unruliness. Out of the collapsed buildings and cracked pavements, these creatures of terrifying legend and myth created something beautiful, something magnificent. Perhaps, this may be why it has such a predatory beauty in this little town. The different species of the night all came together with one goal in mind, they created a home away from home. It was the one place they all could live in harmony and peace with one another, even if they were mortal enemies since the beginning of each species' existence. Silver Falls was a place where every creature could coexist, whether it was vampires, werewolves, witches and warlocks, sorcerers and sorceresses, or humans.
So, with that in mind, they built and built. Manors and grand houses for those of royalty and noble standing. Large Victorian houses for the common folk and humans who they knew the town would draw in. They called it Silver Falls, for silver is far rarer than gold and so was the harmony and peace found in this town, not only that but they had harmony and peace in tonnes here in this town nestled deep within Vermont.
One Autumn Equinox, as the Harvest Moon, hung in the night sky the construction of the town ended. Seeing the beauty of the town and its angelic appearance humans from far and wide came to settle in the town and make it home. As predicted and hoped, it was a place of peace and harmony for all species. Though the harmony and peace of this town would soon be disrupted.
A month after the construction of the town in October as the Hunter's Moon hung in the night sky, the humans who had been drawn to the town had settled down and prepared to call the town home. Now, these two months would be heralded and celebrated for years and years to come. For eternity these months would be celebrated as the foundation of what makes Silver Falls, the town it is. For a year all the species lived in harmony, there was something ethereal about the town, an ethereality about the town that till this day remains the very same. The people of this town for a year were a close-knit community, though as the saying goes, some just can't stand beauty, peace, and harmony, cause if they can't have it then they will destroy it.
